Intriguing. Some good work put in this book. shorter than most Tom Clancy novels. I literally watched a movie in my head reading this. Every detail told, every action sequence, everything was amazing.

Great Book!. This book took me back to when Tom Clancy started the Jack Ryan saga. It was a really great read.

Tom Clancy Red Winter. This book was terrible why would I want to read about Jack Ryan from 30+yrs ago with Jack Jr just 4 yrs old. I have read every book in the Erie’s and in the Jack Ryan Jr series too. I think this was a terrible book ism sorry I downloaded it and may not buy an6 more from this series if they go way back like this one did. Steve

Tom Would Be Proud. Great read - my only disappointment is that it had to end!

Vintage Jack Ryan in Clancy-style thriller. If you like vintage Clancy/Ryan thrillers, you will like this book. Set in the 80s and in the style of The Hunt for Red October it is well-written, tight and exciting without being over the top.

For not being Tom Clancy,….. Very pleasant in most places . Except his innate ability to describe the works of bad people in action all to realistically. Great read!

Red Winter. Excellent back story Marc does an amazing job capturing the essence of the Jack Ryan characters that we all love.

Red Winter. Best of the recent Clancy books….felt like the original offerings before the USSR collapsed and Ryan Jr came of age.

Harkens back to the old days. I have read all of the Jack Ryan series and Jack Jr. Series. This one brings it back with cold warrior Jack Ryan. Plot is good as are the characters. Definitely worth a read!

A good return with favorite characters. Similar to Red Rabbit, we go back in time to a younger Jack Ryan adventure. Good farce wish there was more Jack in the story.

Struggled to finish it.. I have read all of the Tom Clancy books and this was by far the worst. It was a struggle to finish it let alone follow the characters

Amazing read. As a reader of Tom Clancy novels for over 25 years this has by far been my favorite since Tom Clancy’s passing. It takes me back to the Cold War Jack Ryan era and brings back the nostalgia of The Hunt For Red October and The Cardinal of The Kremlin. I am grateful for an action packed booked that reads like a true Cold War spy thriller.

Back at it. Old Clancy is back. Well written. Glad to feel this way again.

We Need More Jack Ryan in 80’s. This book is very Clancy-eseque. Loved it. I believe there is one more Jack Ryan book between this one and when Clancy introduces the main characters we’ve all come to know.

Not the best. Love Clancy books. This one wasn’t one of the better ones. Plot too wavy. Too many characters with only few that actually made the story readable. Skip this one and go for one of the many others written by him or other authors carrying Jack Ryan’s legacy.
