I really liked this book. This one has some unique twists on shifters. I really liked it!! I'm going to have to go back and read the rest of the books as this one was an ARC. I was given an ARC copy and I am leaving my honest opinion on this book.

He has been able to make a decent living for them by being a bull rider in the rodeo. One night he is turned against his will by the Alpha of the Quade wolf pack in Texas. They take Molly hostage and are forcing him to try and mate one of the Alpha’s granddaughters against her will. It doesn’t turn out so good for him when she mated Ryan Travis the new Alpha of the Oklahoma Pack. They beat him up and he barely escapes alive. He is found unconscious in a drainage ditch by a local vet. Ellie Culver is a human that was mated to a wolf shifter in one of the rival packs in Oklahoma. They were fated mates and were very happy until he was killed by the other pack. She has been miserable and lonely for the three years since he died. She has tried to remove herself from both packs but it hasn’t been easy. She finds Christian in the drainage ditch and takes him back to her vet clinic to treat him. She soon realizes that even though he is a wolf he has no idea of what that entails or anything about pack life. And of course he isn’t talking to her, he is just determined to return to Texas to try and free his sister. But he didn’t count on Ellie’s stubbornness or determination to help him. She agrees to drive him back to Texas because he is in no shape to drive. She pulls the story out of him during the trip and she agrees to help him. She also knows that he is her mate, which she didn’t realize was even possible since she was already fated to a wolf once. But apparently the goddess has plans for both of them, despite how hard Christian fights against the attraction. Can these two really expect to win over one of the strongest packs in the country? It will take the cooperation and help of the other packs for them to have even a prayer of a chance, something Christian doesn’t want to accept! This is the fifth book in the VonBrandt Wolf Pack series but can be read as a stand along. I hadn’t read any of the other books and didn’t have any trouble following the story. Excellent book!
