Loved it. It was great to be back in Captivity, Alaska for Lilah Iquat and Ford Langley’s story. We met both of these characters in previous books and I could not wait to see what Ms.Beck had in story for this complicated friends to lovers story. Of course living in a small town has it’s benefits and it’s curses. Everyone knows everyone else and no one is afraid to stick their noses in, whether it is wanted or not. Lilah is pregnant but sadly the father of her baby was killed in an accident. After learning of her daughter’s pregnancy, her mother disowns her and she needs to find a place to live. Ford steps in and offers her his spare room. Ford is attracted to Lilah but he knows that she is too young for him and that he is too damaged. He doesn’t want to bring darkness to her life and is determined to keep her at arms length; to be a friend and nothing more. This was an emotional story of loss, grief and guilt that was handled realistically. The banter was witty and the steam was certainly there with this well written romantic story. Can they come to terms with the past and in doing so find a lasting love? Lilah and Ford are meant to be together and I loved that they finally got the happily ever after that they deserved.

All the feels. Another visit to Captivity, Alaska and another great addition to the Captivity, Alaska Series. This time it’s Ford Langley and Lilah Iquat’s friends to lovers story. Lilah is pregnant but sadly the father of her baby has been killed in an accident, desperate for a place to live after her mother disowns her she turns to Ford for help. Ford may be older than Liah but that doesn’t stop him offering her his spare room and what follows is a beautifully written journey. This couple are both damaged from the past but that doesn’t stop the attraction they both feel so will they fight it and stay as friends or will they build a future and become a family……. Once click this gem to find out. This was an emotional yet entertaining read, it’s full of grief and guilt but more importantly it’s filled with love. The chemistry is sizzling, the banter witty with characters you will instantly bond with. Looking forward to what’s to come from this small town where everyone knows everyones business and are not afraid to add their options.
