Enjoyed it. I truly enjoyed the journey of this story and can't wait to find what happens to Charli in the next book. One problem was on a number of pages in some chapters sentences were cut off so some parts were missed.

At a crossroad. Haven't quite finished the book. Not sure if I want to. I'm not connected to the characters one reason being there isn't a detailed description of them to make them relatable. She ddnt give a clear depiction of their looks, characteristics or motives. It's affecting the way I respond to the situations that each character is going through. I read books so that I could immerse myself in a fairytale but I would Never want to be any character in this book. Confusion set highest when they discribed charli as someone who left everything to chance but a later chapter her friend said she was a control freak. Seriously make a decision and stick to it. And give the characters more depth. we need history's and a better explanation of the plot

Entire-series-in-a-weekend-good. Hooked. I read a lot of books, (2-3 a week), and a lot of them don't stick with me for long, but this one has stuck with me for over a year. It's truly refreshing to read a love story where they are so sure of their love for each other, and the respect they deserve for themselves, and the fall victims to circumstances rather than jealousy and lies.. Oh and I notice a lot of complaints about spelling, but you have to realize the author is Australian, they spell some things differently, no need to call the book poorly edited, because you're poorly cultured

Best Author Ever. I absolutely love the style of writing Mrs. Walker-Smith uses and the story is magical. I have read all the books so far and I really hope they turn into movies! I cried so hard at moments because of the wonderful description and narration. The only bad thing is that there is not a movie yet. Saving wishes is an excellent book and I can't find enough adjectives to describe it. I'm just really glad that I read this book, and the sequels!

Saving Wishes. I love this series. It’s so wholesome, heartfelt, and real. The author does and amazing job. I absolutely love this series! It’s so beautiful and raw, and magical. It’s tells a story of hardship but finding the magic in it all and finding happiness within. I can’t wait for the nest book to come out. I know it’s been a long time but I’m sure it’s going to be worth it!! What I’ve read from the short preview I just wanted to hear more, I’m so excited to read it. I 10/10 recommend the series 💛

Love love love. I love everything about this story: the characters, the storyline, the foreshadowing, the twists. It’s AMAZING. I’ve already re-read the whole series twice and even knowing what happens doesn’t take away from the writing and falling in love with the characters all over again.

SO HAPPY I READ THESE. Well, seven books later and I'm left sad to let these characters go. I almost stopped reading after the first book because it seemed like it was wrapping up to be like every other teen love story, but I was SOOOO wrong! Charli grows up through the books and it's so best to see. This is unique in every way and no detail is left without a meaning. Her name even has a meaning at the end of book 5. I feel like I'm losing a friend... Write more, please!

Best short read ever.. At first I figured it was going to some cliche love story and it took me by surprise! This book had so many plot twists I could hardly keep up, everytime it would simmer down the next page would pick it back up. It was a beautifuly told story , my only complaint was the ending. The ending really wasn’t something I expected or wanted, but that being said it did make me want to read the second book just to see if it turned out better. Great read! I would recommend it to anyone.

5 Enchantig Stars!!. This was the first story I read that got me into reading as an adult and Saving Wishes by GJ Walker-Smith is still one of my favorite books. I often go back and re-read it after an ugly cry or a very suspenseful book. It's sweet and charming and it has quite a colorful heroine. Charli Blake is a handful! I loved this Aussie girl from the very first sentence: "Alex, my brother, sometimes calls me wicked. Sometimes I am." I just knew right away this girl was going to be fun to read about. Always rebellious, quick witted and a little devious, Charli also has this sweet innocent part of her that lives in LaLa Land and believes in fate and miracles. Adam Décarie is your good looking All American New Yorker in law school. Raised by strict parents, everything about his life is planned in precise detail. So it's completely out of character when he takes off to visit his cousin in Australia. When Charli meets Adam the connection is instant. Charli being the indecisive girl she is, doesn't give in right away, and I loved the banter between the two of them. Their exchanges are sweet and funny but the way Charli opens this man's eyes to the magic of LaLa Land is enchanting. There's nothing logical about how they met and fell in love. They're from two different ends of the world, with completely different upbringings, but their love knows no bounds. But is it enough? Adam is only visiting. This story was complete perfection to me. I fell in love with ALL of the characters and was really rooting for a happily ever after. Whether or not they get it is for you to find out!!

my go to. i absolutely love this series. i remember first reading it in the 6th grade. i’m now a sophomore in college. i always come back to this book series every few years bc i absolutely love it. it is hands down my favorite book ever. it’s also the reason why i fell in love with reading. this series brings me such comfort. and it never lets me down. even though i know how the whole series goes and i have read it countless of times, every time i re read it, it feels as if i am reading it for the first time again. 🫶🏼

Cheesy and everything I wanted. This book is an extremely cheesy romance that makes your inner teenage girl squirm. It’s ridiculous and everything you’d ever want! I love it so much, highly recommend when you’re in the mood for a romance that pretty much only exists in fiction

Not the normal Happily-Ever-After. Most romantic novels have a standard plot in which the characters meet, have some barrier to overcome and then get married etc. This delightful series focuses more on what happens with a couple having to figure out how to live a life together beyond the happy send-off. Really enjoyed it, well done.

Must read. I hadnt picked up a book in a while, and i thought why not give it another go. So i did, i started reading this book, and then it got to me. I couldn't stop reading it! I got to the end,and i didn't know it was a series, so i immediately brought the next book. It was very annoying to find that i had finished second hearts, to have to wait until 25th November for the next book of the series storm shells. The wishing series have made me cry my eyes out at several different times. Its a great book, so if your thinking about reading it, then you must do! It gets very addicting to find out what happens to Adam and Charli!

Captivating. This book grabbed my really grabbed my attention. It was not a cliche and also not very predictable which left me wanting for more!

Amazing!. I loved this book from the very first chapter. This is the type of book that kept me awake through the night and had me hiding in the bathroom just so I could fit in another chapter. I would recommend to anyone who loves to read! My only disappointment was to have the love making scenes completely skipped out! Apart from that I thought it was amazing. Very humerus with parts that had me covering my mouth at 3am trying to muffle the sound of my laughter as I did not want to wake up my sleeping partner. Loved every second and cannot wait to read the next one!!!!

A rare treasure... Initially, I was skeptical whilst reading this book. But these doubts instantly vanished as I continued reading. Charli is a dreamer, and viewing the world through her eyes makes you wonder how much magic you fail to see in the world. Cue the arrival of Adam, and both of their lives change instantly. Saying anymore would not provide justice to the story. The depth given to the characters in this book is often lacking in others. But my personal favourite relationship would be between Alex and Charli. Both share a bond so sweet and understated, you can only admire the literary skills of the author. I always think the quality of a book is based on how long it takes to detach yourself from the story and its after reading. So saying that this book continues to be part of my thoughts days after completion is the highest praise from an avid reader like myself.

Lovely writing but.... ...after a point, the main character's self sabotage becomes annoying. I really loved the story until nearly the end and then couldn't bring myself to finish it. It's beautifully written but just a bit 2D at times. And I don't like angst when there's no real reason for it.

Amazing. I absolutely loved this book and read it in 3 days which is quick for me because I'm a slow reader. Also, i find that when I read a book, if it doesn't pull me in after the 2-3rd chapter then I get bored, but this book was amazing from first to the last word! I thought it would be better with a few romantic and saucy bits in it ;) but still the best book I've read so far!

Perfection in a book. although this book was at some point predictable all books are, an amazing the best book I have read in a while, I've read it twice so far and plan on reading it again, it's got twists and turns you don't expect and a massive cliff hanger of an ending. Awful. This book is full of grammar and spelling mistakes. The story is dull, up until a shock reveal right at the end. It ends badly and doesn't tie up any loose ends for any parts of the story. Very disappointing.

Perfect ending to a beautiful story. After waiting months for my next fix of la la land and for storm shells to be released I couldn't wait to start reading. Nothing disappointed it was perfect from start to finish as the other 2 are. I got all the answers I wanted and think that the final instalment couldn't have been any better. Even though I found myself shouting, crying ad laughing it was exactly how it should be.Very much worth the wait. Well done G.J Walker Smith you are a very talented lady.

This book was amazing i told my friends about it and they have all started reading it, I've never had a book touch my heart like this before and its probably he first one I've read all the way through within a matter of day!! Ive been in school thinking about it every second about Charli and Adam and i have been brought through the emotions of crying my eyes our worrying, you name it which another book has had never had such a tole on me!!! I think this book i worth being published because it is remarkably amazing and there would be plenty of teenage girls and women who would love to see this story as a film, it would get an extreme amount of views!!!! To the author of this book, you are the best writer i know of whom i have read their books. The description used and the different scenarios are perfectly described with so much detail and i love it!! This book needs to be made into a film and i am looking forward to reading the other making wishes books within the next few weeks!! Tears!!. I have to admit I cried a whole bunch of rivers at this book haha. It's a really good book with a few unpredictable twists. The way the author portrays Adam just makes you fall hopelessly in love with him just like Charlotte had. It's quite emotional but I absolutely loved it

Must read book!. I read a lot of books but this one resonated with me on a level I rarely experience. I absolutely loved it and will now read anything GJ Walker-Smith writes. The characters are unique and sometimes a little crazy but you just want to meet them in real life. Romance, magic, often tragic fairytales are just a few of the many reasons, this is a must read book!

Must read! My new favourite!. There is nothing about this book that I didn't like! From witty remarks to memorable quotes I just could put it down, reading it in one sitting. If you have a love for romance, fairies and a bit of magic in your life then this is the book for you:)

Heart Warming. This book and the others in the series are well worth it. You will fall in love with the characters and loose sleep because you will just want to read the next page. Walker-Smith grows with her writing. While the first couple of chapters are bit hard to keep you engaged after a few she has a handle on it and just gets better within the series. I have now read them all and cannot wait for Dec when the next book arrives.

Surprised. Absolutely loved this book. I don't usually read books like this but I was happily surprised with how quickly I was drawn in. I am excited to read the rest of the books while anxiously awaiting the last books release.

plesantly surprised. at first, i was worried at how fast the storyline started. As i continued reading i was drawn in by each page. The characters all have their own essence that is written beautifully. Each characters strenghs and weaknessess dont take over the story making it too dramtic. It is always at a perfect balance. These are characters with real life problems and it was easy to relate to. one of the best Aussie books I've read! I love this world!

La la land. One of the best series I have read in a while. At the start, the names of some characters sounded similar and it confused me a little however, I got past that and could not stop reading until all books in the series were read. Captivating! LOVE these books!. I just finished all 4 books and I'm so sad it's over. I haven't been able to put them down - they're beautifully written and I truly enjoyed reading them. I had a hard time putting them down to go sleep almost every night - I always wanted more!

Started the new year right with the wishes books. This is the best book I have ever read. I spent my New Years reading this and could not stop. Once I was done this one had to get the next two. Keep writing you are amazing and let's us join you in La La Land. ❤️👍

A Hidden Gem. WOW. I stumbled upon this book in the free section last December because I'm a university student trying to be as frugal as possible. After having read Saving Wishes (and all the other books in the series) it's safe to say that I would pay hundreds of dollars to read these books. This series is my favourite and I'm dying to read the new book coming out in December. A quirky love story that just pleases the soul. Highly recommend - especially to lovers of la la land.

Saving wishes. At first, I was skeptical about reading this book because I haven't read any reviews for it. I must say I was surprised and thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. So much so that I read saving wishes and second hearts (the follow up book) in two and a half days. Honestly, the only reason why I rated this book a 4 instead of a 5 is because the constant grammatical errors were distracting. Anyways, if you're looking for a good read I suggest you give it a try. It's a cute romantic story about a young girl named Charli who falls hopelessly and completely in love with a New Yorker named Adam.

Definite yes!. This book wasn’t groundbreaking by any means, but I fell so in love with the story that I couldn’t put it down. The characters were everything (yes, looking at you Adam & Alex) and there were twists I wasn’t expecting in the slightest. Overall, I loved this and I seriously can’t wait to finish off the series!

From the get go.... I found this wonderful book on a whim. It ended up being one of the best decisions I made. Saving Wishes and the rest of GJ Walker-Smiths wishes series books are absolutely beautifully written pieces of prose. They're emotional, funny, sexy and so beautiful I've read them over and over again. Adam and Charli and by far the best book couple around. I adore them and everyone should take a journey to LaLa land. It's worth it! X

A Romance for the Soul. You know how when you find a good book, you sometimes feel antsy to speed through the character struggles to get to the beautiful, romantic happy ending? Saving Wishes is not like that. The way Walker-Smith writes her relationship and character arcs makes you want to savour every. single. interaction. The romance, selfishness, desperation, pain, and love of Adam and Charli is so agonizingly tangible, that I find myself closing the book at pivotal scenes just so I can sit in the character’s emotion with them for a little bit longer. I love these characters, and I promise you will too.
