Delightful Romance. Well plotted with engaging characters and believable situations. In real life, tho, vigilantism is not a good idea. Any author can construct a fictional world and populate it with whom ever they like to be the vigilantes, but our collective experience in the world we really live in shows that vigilantism results in no reduction in violence or increase in personal safety. The shortcuts vigilantes use mean innocent folks are targeted, frequently the powerless. That is, women, minorities and people of color.

Defending Keirnan. Suspense, betrayal, danger, and evil abound but so does a budding love, family, and friends who will stop at nothing to save Keirnan.

Great with one suggestion. I liked the story line but surprised no one caught an issue, while small, will grate on people who understand. If you're talking in military or public safety time, it's a 24 hour clock. So 1100 hours is 11am. But the book says it was 11pm. This would mean it would be 2300 hours, not 1100. Surprised no editor along with the author caught this.

Great start to a new series. Defending Keirnan is the first book in the new series Ghost by P.J. Fiala. I received an ARC copy and this review is my honest opinion. I received the audiobook. Keirnan wants to hold a fund raiser for the town library that needs a lot of love. Should be relatively easy. Right? Nope. Dane Copeland wants to take care of his daughter and do his job. But he’s ex-military and can’t stay away from someone who needs help. This book was filled with scary situations, dangerous people, and romance. There has to be romance! But things keep going wrong. Who are the bad guys and what do they want with Keirnan? Even though Dane and his buddies build tight security, it seems like the bad guys are one step ahead of them. Will Dane be able to defend Keirnan? You are going to have to read or listen to this book to find out! If you get the audiobook, the narrator will not disappoint! Rose Dioro and Troy Duran do an excellent job. I enjoyed how the changed the narrator based on the changing point of view in the chapters. I hope you enjoy this story as much as I did! Can’t wait to learn more about GHOST!

Defending Kieran. You had a great story but it would have been better without the Sexual Overtones. To me Sex is a private and Beautiful Experience between a married man and his Wife. Unfortunately I have read worse which I have skipped many pages and a couple that I never finished.

Defending Kiernan. Awesome book! Loved the characters and the plot was fast paced and exciting!

Excellent read. I’m somewhat new to PJ Fiala and I am happy to say I’m very pleasantly surprised. The characters are well written, the story flows smoothly, and the writing style is great. Dane and Keirnan have completely different lives and yet they connect on a level that is the stuff most people want in their lives. I will definitely be buying more books from this series and author. Do get it, you’ll enjoy it and become a fan, like me.

Romance with Drama. Needs editing! Unnecessary foul language, and explicit sex. Otherwise good suspense/ drama with what you’re sure will have a happy ending.

Sweetness. Loved these two characters- I am always up for reading about a sweet schoolteacher and an overprotective but sweet alpha. The storyline was fantastic!

Defending Kiernan. Excellent book. Didn’t want to put it down. Can’t wait to read another book by this author!

Suspenseful. Dane has only time for his daughter and his job, a Ghost Operative. He’s not interested in romance but romance might be interested in him. Don’t miss out. JackieT
