Taken by this story. I have been drawn in by this story and read it in one sitting. I truly feel, as a man, that there is some aspect I could reach within myself to have the soul of this man. If you are a married man, read this book and don't be upset by it but think about it. If you are not married, read this book and ponder it.

Absolutely Beautiful. A look at how some of our lives already are, and or how we’d like it to be.

True Love. Although I saw the movie first, and has always been one of my favorite stories. The book was 1000 times better. A real love story, the closing chapters brought me to tears. Read the whole book in the course of 4 days reading 3-4 hours at a time. Just one of those books you can't put down and have to finish. Pick up the book and trust me, you won't put it down until you are done.

I dont get it. I dont understand why stories of “love at first sight” are so popular. I think the writing was good. I understand and could grasp some of the artistic mind aspect… but the lot of it to me came off so unrealistic that it was hard to grasp the depth that was trying to be portrayed.

Bridges of Madison County-By Chrissy. I truly love this book. It has touched me in a way I never thought possible. It also brought back memories and pieces of my own life during the time when I was the age of 16 to 18 in Trabuco Canyon, CA. I remember Bob was my first true love back then. We were so much in love but even I knew I wasn’t ready for marriage at that time. Trabuco Canyon was where my parents purchased a Cabin that we would visit all summer long! We actually lived in Lynwood, CA and I was still in high school, and we broke up. I am 78 years old now. So, again, thank you for this beautiful love story that you have shared. My husband and I now live in Casa Grande, AZ.

Powerful prose, bordering on poetry. A well crafted novella with very few flaws, lucent prose and well developed characters, clearly this is one of the best works from the later half of the 20th century.
