Unexpected. In a good way.. After reading so many fantasy novels that would fall short, this one delivered. I already have the second volume and I'm looking forward to getting the third.

Want to know what a "runt" is? Buy the book!. If you want to stay up late every night reading, then buy this book! The story reminds me somewhat of Tolkien's books. If you enjoyed The Hobbit then you would enjoy this book. The story and characters are definitely not as in depth as George RR Martins books. The characters are all very likable. I liked the bit of humor. You will not regret reading this book. I have to go kill some "Runts" now! Buy this book and learn what runts are! Hehe

Amazing!!. I just happened upon this book while looking for something in the fantasy section. After just a few pages in I knew this was going to be a great adventure! I couldn't stop reading once I started and finished in just under three days. I just downloaded the second book in this series and can't wait to begin reading. Amazing!!!!

A Dwarven Epic. I love the dwarves of Girdlgaurd, and loved the increadible story line. The characters were funny and loveable, and the battle kept mme reading until midnight some nights. I loved it, and you will too!!
