Absolutely Amazing. I had already seen the movie long before I read the book and, although I know the book is almost always better than the movie, I definitely wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was! It was a pleasant surprise to be absolutely sucked in to this amazing world of magic and unconventional love. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who loves books that transforms the everyday reality we all know into something magical and mysterious!

Wow love this book and the movie!!!!. So I actually just saw the movie about a month ago. I had never even heard of it before. I really don't have time to read much either. So I read a book about every 10 years. Never really liked to read much. I saw the movie and immediately fell in love. I loved the movie, the characters, the plot. I read the reviews of the movie and was really disappointed that it didn't receive better reviews everybody exclaiming that it just didn't do the book justice. Understanding that you literally can't put every detail from a book into a movie, I had to read the book. Got to say that as much as I loved the movie I loved the book. I'm glad I watched the movie first because it gave me a visual reference to the characters in the book. I'll never forget in the beginning of the movie when Lena turned around in the class room for the first time with her pretty smile that stole my heart. She just has that face that almost makes me feel like I had known her all my life, like we had met somewhere before. I'm sure it was just that I had seen her in another show or something but there was just something about her so familiar to me. I really credit the writer's and producers for that. They really CAST the perfect girl for that role. "No pun intended!!!!" I carried that and the visions of all the characters from the movie into my reading of the book. Sure the movie and the book have their differences but I loved them both equally. Wished they would have made more movies from the book series. Can't ever say that I enjoyed reading anything before now. I was always the guy in class that would buy the cliff notes to do my book reports so I wouldn't have to read. This book has really cultivated a love for reading for me. I am fixing to continue reading the series. Can't wait to see what is in store for the gang from Gatlin. Best wishes to the authors of this book and the producers and cast from the movie. Love your work. You have really opened my eyes to the wonderful world of books and how enjoyable reading can be. Makes me want to go throw away all my cliff notes from years ago and buy the books!!!!! Gary

Beautiful Creatures. The story line was good, just meandered on forever. Rather than give up, I skimmed, barely needing a sentence per page to maintain contact with the plot....the liberal digs annoying, but easy to ignore realizing their source. Can't say I'd bother with another tale by these two....unless I need to kill a lot of time..... SueB

READ IT!. OMG! BEST BOOK EVER! SUSPENCEFUL AND PERFECTLY ROMANTIC without it being cheesy. Perfectly written

Beautiful Creatures. Great book 👍

Entertaining. I'd actually give this a 3.5. An enjoyable, albeit not great read. I enjoyed the narrator and his occasionally funny references to pop-culture, sometimes before his time. There were some great literary references and allusions as well. Overall, the characters were interesting and mostly well drawn although some were bordering on cliche. The story itself was well done, although I don't know that the resolution was as well done as the rest - although that may be a lead into the next in the series. The ending left me with some confusion as to the whys as well as feeling a bit cheated. I will say that reading adolescent /YA fiction today is much different than years ago. The stories are more imaginative and often tackle topics more complex than I remember. The teenage angst is still alive and well, but there is often much more going on. Read in the context of YA fiction this is more of a 4-star, but compared to the bulk of writing out their this just falls in the middle of the pile.

Great Story!. I read this novel after enjoying the film. The book begins well and gets better as it goes. The story has tension and humor, fearfulness and falling into forbidden love. The novel is populated with familiar types of supernatural beings, though the plot does include unforeseen twists. I enjoyed all of Beautiful Creatures, and will read the novels that follow this one.

Good read!. I watched the movie first and then had to read the book since books are always better. It was WAY different from the movie and much better. I loved it! I can't wait to finish reading the rest of the books. :)

The images conjured in my head by the beautiful writing were so vivid and full! I was pulled in on so many levels:romance, history and magic! Best of the BEST!. Beautiful Creatures is one of the greatest books I have ever read. It has what a fantasy novel needs! It has romance, action, some history, but best all, MAGIC! This book is great! Yes, it's a bit thick, but it's worth it. The ending is satisfying and beautiful. This book MUST BE READ! No matter how many times I read it, it's still awesome. :)

Can't put it down 😍. After you start you really don't want to stop reading this book. I watched the movie before I read the book, and the movie is so disappointing now. It leaves of on everything, but the book is completely and utterly amazing.

A Great Read. I loved reading this book - could hardly put it down to go to sleep at night. It was beautifully written and the plot was well thought out. A breath of fresh air from the vampires and werewolves so many are putting out. I can't wait to read the rest!

Great love story with twists and turns around every corner. This book was so entertaining. I felt connected to the characters as much as the Bella and Edward and Katniss and Peeta. I felt myself looking forward to picking up this book every night and not wanting to put it down. Being from Louisiana, I can relate to the southern heritage and dialect of the story. Great job there. It's always good to read a true love story that isn't as predictable. This book is a great and easy read. It's on the young reader list so the pages turn faster but the dialogue isn't washed down with juvenile context. I just bought Beautiful Darkness which I will begin reading tonight.

Beautiful Creatures, Beautiful Book. I love this book. The movie looks nothing like it, but I love it anyway. It's a book about adventure and darkness, but it also shares something in it that all want- to be free. I defiantly rate it 5 stars

This book will leave readers with their heads in Gatlin and their hearts with Lena and Ethan. Absolutely stunning in every way!!

A Must read book. This series and Harry potter and maybe one or two others are books I think everyone should read! This is one of those books that I've read at least 15 times but keep coming back to. The characters are well done and the plot is not over done the writing is also amazing!!! I have the paperback copy of the actual book and it has been read some many times that it is staring to fall apart as with beautiful darkness and chaos. The ending of beautiful chaos always makes me cry no matter how many times I read it!!!!! This book is one I always recommend to anyone of any age to read! I can't wait for either of the authors to write any new book!

Hmm ummmm yeah...... It was ok plot was predictable. I guess it would be wonderful for a hormonal teenager but this one didn't even scratch the twilight surface. I won't be reading the rest of the series but I'm sure that it must be good to someone..... Some where.
