Best Romance Novel Ever. By far...the best book I have ever read. Love, love, love it.

A Rose in Winter. My favorite book for the past 20 years. I reread it every couple years and it still keeps me clued to the story, even when I know the ending.

One of her best!. This is one of my favorite Books by this author! I love the characters and though partway through the book you basically figure things out it’s still so fun to read and let the story unfold. I love story is wonderful and it’s a great read up to the end!

A Rose In Winter. Although I have read and enjoyed all of her works, "A Rose In Winter" is by far my favorite of Ms. Woodiwiss's stories! I have worn out four paperbacks and now enjoy my E-copy! I love the combination of "Beauty and the Beast", "Zoro", and a bit of "The Count of Monte Cristo" complete with a dashing man and more importantly, a strong, spunky female character lead! It is so beautifully written that every scene and character comes to life, with such visual accounts it's like watching a movie but better! In fact, I wish someone worthy would make it a movie! The only thing that would make it better, is if she would write a continuance. I'd love to know what may have happened to the characters and their offspring say 20 years later? With plenty of adventure (and back stories) of course! For now, I only have to start from the beginning again to bring my favorites to life once more. Many thanks! Brenda B

Love. My all time favorite book!!

Still perfect. I first read this when I was 17 years old. Reading it again at 47 was just as wonderful. A few different takeaways, but so spectacular.

Rereading. Read this book in jr. High loved it always been fascinated with history. I had fun rereading while recovery from surgery. Historical romances were always a guilty pleasure but now they must appear Puritan against 50shades...

A Rose In Winter. I read this book years ago in paperback and now on my iPad. Even knowing the story I couldn't put it down. I love these characters and hated to finish it! All of her books are good but this one definitely ranks as one of the best!

Rainy days Great Read!. These are great fun! The story line is good and the writing style fun and easy to read! As are the twists and turns of the story... Satisfying read 🤗🤗. Woodiwiss' descriptive depth is enjoyable to read. I love the way her stories build up so subtly to numerous climactic moments that are phrased so simply & yet so elegantly & effectively. In that respect, this book was a joy to read. Liked the characters, however, the plot gave way halfway in & I was able to predict the rest of the story. Also, no big climax as the two obvious ones were not set up & executed well. Thoroughly enjoyed the multiple smaller moments that were brilliantly built up & played out however.
