I absolutely loved this book!. I couldn't put it down. I thought it was very well written, the flow was good - no lags or boring parts. Awesome! The only thing I can say is I was disappointed because I finished the book! ;o) I would definitely recommend this one. You rock Cherry Bomb! Xoxo

Neon Angel. I love the book. it is really inspiring because it shows you what the Runaways life was like back then in 1975 . How they started, what they all went through, and how they were treated by Kim and others when they were teenagers. I could imagine it was really hard for them because of how they grew up and what their families were like and all of the problems they went through like parties and time of month.

Wow!. What a story! So glad Cherie put this incredible story on paper! I've been reading a lot of the rock n roll stories and this one really hit home. I was so sheltered during the '70s but loved the music. I would never been so courageous and strong enough to survive! Cant wait to see the movie. Thanks for sharing.

Neon Angel. Great read, I could not put it down for two days! Cherie's story is well written, and probably the best thing I've read in a while. What a triumph! I feel like I've grown as a person from reading this autobiography.

Spicy Currie. Her story was beautiful. It captured my eyes for hours. I couldn't put it down. I been a fan of Joan Jett and the runaways since middle school. Sometimes I wish I was born into the 80s but I got the next decade. It's suspenseful and truthfully written.

The cherry bomb. The most amazing book in the history of books. I do not have the words to describe how amazing it is to be in someone else's mind and live her life in your mind. It is simply amazing. I declare Cherrie my hero and an excellent example of a human being and a strong woman.

This blew my mind.... I would have never thought that Cherie Currie would go through so much in her life. This book has given me the understanding of the "rock and roll" lifestyle. I learn so many things about personal safety and taking care of yourself in this book that it blew my mind. It was especially nice knowing that she was able to make everything stable in the end. :)

Worthwhile for Runaway and Currie Fans. Naturally, this book gives us a detailed account of Cherie Currie's perspective of her failures, successes, and all the adventures in between. At times that perspective seems overtly biased to me, and makes me wonder how her bandmates, family, friends, and industry peers might tell their versions of the stories. But nonetheless, an individual's perspective is In fact her reality and relevant as such for those of us spellbound to read the stories. It seems clear to me that Currie attempts an honest book. She reveals painful and horrific details regarding foolish mistakes or failed awareness which led her to being mistreated, abused and even abducted in nightmarish ordeals leaving physical scars to heal, and emotional scars to numb with drugs. She shares painfully intimate details regarding family dysfunction (in spite of genuine familial love), loss of loved ones, broken dreams, and sadly lost opportunities. She takes it on the chin when she knows she screwed up, all on her own. She's honest about her weaknesses. The material on her years with The Runaways is worth the price. Cherie Currie was a great front person and vocalist for a great live band. At ages 15-16 in an era with few female rock artists who provided live performances to challenge Iggy Pop, David Bowie, Steven Tyler, Mick Jagger... She managed to command the stage naturally and powerfully long before the likes of today's teen pop stars who are largely manufactured and propped up by the likes of Disney and the major labels, swimming headlong with the mainstream. It is fascinating to read about a female TEENAGED rockstar making serious waves international in the 1970s. Other interesting subjects include some details on her twin sister's life after cutting an album with Cherie, as well as info on Cherie's movie career, demise from the entertainment industry, her efforts to regain sobriety and sanity, and her ultimate happiness. I give this 4 rather than 5 stars because the writing overall can be a bit juvenile - it reads to me as if a talented teenager wrote the book. Occasional mellow dramatic passages, silly descriptions, or just downright overwrought cliches force the reader to downshift a bit and just grind through the hokey stuff in order to enjoy the more important gems. But overall, I enjoyed the book very much, I do recommend it, and I praise Currie for her colorful life and landing on her feet - surviving, in fact.

Excellent book!. This book is an excellent read, very well written, gritty, honest and full of emotion and passion. It is an incredible ride and amazing that someone could triumph after the roller coaster ride that Cherie's life has been. I have had the pleasure of performing on stage with Cherie most recently and she is at the top of her game, amazing after all that she has endured.

Teenage Struggle, Egotism of Rock n' Roll, Drug-induced Horror and Chaos, Redemption and Survival. The Runaways...an all girl rock n' roll band that made history. Women who were true contributors to rock n' roll music. Yet, we all know how these types of rock stories play out...a Svengali type manipulating the band, band members caught up in their own egotistical dreams, throwing tantrums and having breakdowns caused by stress, horrific scenarios caused by drugs and sex, and lastly the demise of the band and redemption the band members. This is what I expected and it is what I got. However, Cherie Currie's story was so pure and honest that it shocked me in two ways; I will never look at rock n' roll in the same way and that women are f**king SURVIVORS. I could not put this book down.

Thrill of rock. Great accounts of one's amazing and fast life. Also made me a fan of The Runaways.
