A Great Man, A Great Read. Randy, or "Mr. O" as I know him, tells the story behind the man we all know as the lead singer of legendary country music supergroup Alabama. I have been fortunate enough to know Mr. O and his family since I was a young boy, but not until this book have I been able to get a true understanding of what shaped him not only as a performer but also as a husband, son, father and all-around generous man. I recommend this book to any Alabama fan or anyone else that cares to read about true Southern charm. On the eve of the 2011 Academy of Country Music Awards I am giddy with anticipation of Alabama's first public performance in almost seven years. This book has just given me a greater appreciation for Mr. O.

A Great Read!. Just finished reading Randy Owen's book. A very honest assessment about Randy's struggle with the emotional and physical stresses he dealt with as he was touring with the Band. He also shares how he is impacted by family relationships Randy does not discuss the issues with Mark Herndon ... emotions were probably still raw at the time of writing. A great read overall.
