Amazing. I read this a few years ago and it continues to be my favorite book of all time. The characters have such depth and emotion to them. The story is captivating and kept me up all night until I finished it. The description doesn't even begin to describe the book. You definitely get more than meets the eye. Of course, I recommend this book to anyone and everyone. There is something powerful and magical about the book that has stayed with me.

Excellent read!. This book was just amazing. It's one of the few books I wish I could have my memory wiped of just so I could experience reading it again. Seriously recommend it. It's fantastic and I don't say that lightly about books but this one was joyous and heartbreaking from beginning to end. To sum this book up in one word like Taylor says about Jonah it's was "intense." Buy it and read it, you won't regret it!

bring on the emotions. It took me awhile to figure out what was going on in this book. There are related stories from the past and present being told at the same time. Also, the present has a lot of different aspects. It all connects and wraps up beautifully. Even though it wasn’t immediate love, since it took a bit for all the details to connect for me, I ending this story loving it.

Brilliant. I don't usually bother to write reviews for books but I have to make an exception for this one, it is my favorite book of all time. I love Melina Marchetta and all of her books, but this is definitely the best of them all. It's just beautiful and I absolutely love everything about it.

Amazing. This is a great book! It's up being one of my favorite books with Hunger Games if that helps you tell how great it is. The only down to the book was the beginning. Not that the beginning was bad, it was just slow. Melina Marchetta doesn't tell you everything you need to know in the beginning. That's what makes it confusing and hard for some to read. But if you do read the book and feel disappointed in the beginning don't give up on it because chances are you'll love the book!

The book has everything in it that I could have wanted. It was a journey through tragedy and finding love in all its forms, and when you think you find yourself lost you realize you were just waiting to be found.
