It’s entertaining. Written more like a high school kid, the stories show the heroics but was written like they were dictated at a bar over beer, key action is missing on things are resolved after 1 paragraph. Never any hardship just all victories ally the time

Didn't care for it. This is a compilation of sniper missions in Iraq. I found because of the short story nature there wasn't enough material to get me emotionally involved. Not enough background on the individual. It was all very clinical which I understand but it doesn't make for engaging reading. More often than not I found myself wanting to know more. Often times the author didn't answer questions he asked. I recently read "Lone Survivor" which is a fantastic book about a Seal team in Afghanistan. It spoiled me I think. I now expect more from military books. I really appreciate what these brave men do and did as told in "Hogs in the Shadows" but this is not a book you just can't put down.

Fact beats fiction. The truth about war is never pretty. The courage & willingness of those who choose to go in harms way places them in the company of a select handful of men who fully understand the value of life. Thank God for such men.
