Amazing. Who cares if it is spelled wrong or has errors its not like it is the end of the world it taught me alot of stuff and if you rated 1 or 2 stars you are lame it taught you stuff it was good and useful and i now know how to speak french, spanish, and german very easly and this you dont have to pay so why waist you money on reseta stone ( or what ever it is ) use it on stuff you need and get this. They were trying to teach you and nit everthing is going to be perfect its just not. Thank you of you gave 4 or 5 star i apreciate it!!!!

It's ok.... It's an ok book. I haven't read much, but what I've seen is ok. (actually, I've only read some german). But, my problem is that sometimes, like when there is a difference in gender, Number or case, it gives the alternative. But, it doesn't tell you when that alternative is appropriate.

Less would be more .... Too many languages, the pronunciation guide often misleading (at least for the three languages I've checked).

Good. Better than the Hungarian to English phrasebook from that Monty Python Sketch

I liked one part. The problem section was great the rest was totally un-helpful. In fact on my recent travels I was well prepared for the event of an illness or mugging fortunately I was not sick but I was mugged on numerous times.

Good book. One of my favorite on iBooks.

... Not very accurate.. The Japanese phrasebook has so many errors. Please fix them! Wrong particles are used way too often.

Very mediocre. I am going to review this based on the Greek phrases that I tried to read. Many of them are misspelled ( e.g tessara instead of tessera), there are no accents on the words and the spelling guide is way off in most words. However you can still get close to learning a few phrases while on the go but you could do that with a better book. Even though it is free iBooks should have better quality.

Awesome!!!!. Go to the table of contents and it has a link to each language It has pronunciation on every word So many languages!

Great!! But has one thing missing. This is an excellent book for learning the basic phrases one uses everyday. I TOTALLYYY RECOMMEND THIS.

Get it!. This is a great tool and it being free it is a must. Recommended.

Too many errors. I know native speakers of German, French, Spanish, & Croatian. So I know what I'm talking about when I say you have to double check things beyond simple "hello" & "goodbye" in this phrasebook. And if you have to double check, then why bother? Some of the translations are so wrong, people will be looking at you like you're weird. I think for a lot of the languages, a translating program was used. No bueno. 2 stars because it is useful in limited situations for absolute beginners.

Worst formatting job I've ever seen!. This is definitely a case of "you get what you pay for." Pretty much every other page in this book is blank, and it takes forever to find anything you're looking for. My German is pretty rusty, but not so rusty that I couldn't spot several glaring errors in that section. You'd do better to buy a copy of the phrase book in "Monty Python's Flying Circus."

It's Beast. The best app to even come on the iPod woooooooo go iBook it's the app and so is this book

I loved This Book!. I am a huge language nerd and I love to know key phrases in a lot of languages because I travel a lot. This book was great in helping me know a few things about the language, how to pronounce each letter, and different politeness levels (thank you for telling me about Finnish; I just returned from Finland to visit friends and I wasn't made fun of as much as I was before I had this book 😄) I do think an audio pronunciation guide to each of the phrases would have made the learning process much more seamless as it is sometimes hard to understand how to say the written pronunciation guides. I also think some more key phrases could have been added to each language to aid in functioning well in each corresponding country. Other than that, this book was a great read!

Good. It wasn't wat I was expecting and there dare some misspelled words. I got rosetta stone which is way easy.

Not bad :). I learned some basic Japanese but I think it would be better if their were audio to hear how it is said.

Fun!. I definitely luv this book, I learned some Spanish, Japanese, and Hebrew in 1 morning! But it doesn't give the whole language out and has a few miss pronunciation things. The writer is great and funny and I think it's a lot more fun then taking classes. Hope u like this book a lot 2!

There's no such thing as a perfect phrasebook. This is about as good as you'll get. I glanced at the Spanish and Japanese phrases. Spanish seemed good. Japanese was ok but the pronunciation was odd in places. Like saying "high" to say "yes?" I'd personally write it as "hai." Since that's how it's actually written anyways. And if you say "an-ata" you'll sound weird. ._. It's "ah-nah-tah."

I'll download a different one.. Didn't download right after 2 attempts. Had blank pages, the table of contents isn't in order, and the page numbers from the table of contents don't match up with where the section starts. The pronunciation guide is apparently based on a different dialect of English than what I speak because the sounds from the two examples aren't the same when I say the word.

Question. Why doesn't any of these books have the language farsi/Persian?that is a great language and it's easy to remember!

Helpful. Good, but maybe add some more phrases for Spanish.

Pretty good.... ....but fix the japanese pronounciation. You should put the actual word in romaji (the way of writing words in japanese using the english alphabet) instead of trying to sound out the pronounciation. Use the actual phrases!!! Its going to confuse people and some of them are just really off. But other than that, this is very awesome!!!!

A Lovely App. I think this app is great: it is everything you need. I use it for French and Spanish, and there isn't anything "Missing" as far as I'm concerned: I mean, give it a break: it's free.
