As Jodie begins to trust Cathy and make progress, shocking details about her past come to light. No one had noticed the glaring signs of abuse by those who were supposed to love her most.

Loved it as always!. I can never put a Cathy glass book down. She transports the reader to feel as if they know the family and the kids.

Amazing!. This book was absolutely heartbreaking, but from the time I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. On more than one occasion, I had to close it so I could take a deep breath and wipe my tears. Cathy Glass is a great writer and her work with troubled and neglected children is amazing. I can't wait to read the rest of her books!

A new found respect. This book was so hard to put down! However, when Jodie starts to disclose some of the horrible things from her past I found it difficult to read (so I cannot imagine having to hear a first hand account). This is really an eye-opener into what foster parents go through. I have a new found respect for everyone involved in the Social Service system. A must read!

WOW. I could not put this book down! I am usually not one for non fiction but this is SO well written!

Damaged. A must read! Cathy Glass uncovers the horrible truth that's hidden from those that live in their safe bubble. Teachers especially need to read this for they have no clue what some of their students go home to. Thanks Cathy for inspiring me to be a better mother & teacher!

Damaged review. Another fantastic book by foster carer/author Cathy Glass. As with all the books I've read by her. I was drawn in after reading the first page and couldn't put it down. I wanted to reach in and cuddle Jodie. I would definitely recommend this book, but be prepared with lots of tissues!!

Damaged. A very moving story about a troubled child

Five star.. Reading this book has made me feel a lot more relaxed. I’ve found the last 12 months hard to cope with because of not being able to do the things I normally do because of the pandemic. I will keep reading Cathy Glass books because of how reading this book has made me feel so much better.

Damaged. I'm not a reader but this booked gripped me from start. Read in two days! Great book. It's a roller coaster of emotions xxx

Damaged. One of THE most heart wrenching book I have ever read! With the style that Cathy writes her books she takes you into her home and environment, it's as if I'm there with her as things are happening. I highly recommend this book and I don't recommend books that easily!

Damaged. Truly heartfelt emotional story again from cathy glass selection. This story is unbelievable what this girl has been through, the graphic story telling told is amazing to which there still is these type of people out there. By far the best out of her collection.

Enlightening. This book shows the black hearts of some, to destroy a child the way they did! I think foster carers are amazing and selfless in the work they do!

Truthful heartbreaker. Cathy portrays so well how the system lets even the highest risk kids down, words cannot express what feeling this book leaves, a very sad story of a little girl so wrongly done by, I sincerely hope there is a book on Jodie's success in the future, and wish that little girl all the luck in the world for a somewhat normal life she deserves with cathy and her family,xx

Amazing. Inspiratiomal read, meed i say more?

Wow!. All I can say is amazing!! Truly inspiring book could not put it down read it within 2 days!

Very good.. Very good, it is sad, but just makes you realise what some people go through. A great book, must read.

Damaged. Brilliant read with so much love and hurt it really drags you in and makes you feel the emotions of the characters and the love that cathy feels for Jodie :)

Damaged. Sad but a brilliant book

Damaged. My first iPad book purchase, I was totally engrossed, and read it in two days. I have read several of Cathy's books and each deal with terrible secrets and haunting stories of children that have been horribly treated, but she writes in such a way that you just keep turning the pages. Very sad but a brilliant read....no housework or ironing has been done this weekend!

Amazing. Amazing book I love cathy glass books! Amazing woman and wish the happiest life from now forwards for Jodie x

Fab but so so sad. Finished book in 2 days as I couldn't put it down. Such a sad story told brilliantly by Cathy. Hope one day Jodie can live with Cathy and her family and have the wonderful family life she and every child deserves xxx

Amazing read. This is truly one amazing read. A must. It's sad to think that anyone goes through the things that young Jodie did. This is a heartfelt story that I could not put down. I read it all in one sitting...and wanted to start it again after!

Excellent read. Nicely written book of a very sad story of child abuse. An eye opener to the great work foster parents do. The book is easy to read. I finished it in 2 days which is unusual for me!

Truely a heart wrenching book. What a good book but I found it quite shocking didn't know if I could read it all but cathy glass gives a true description of fostering its a must read :)

Sad. Very sad book but what a remarkable woman cathy glass is!!! Wow she is a brilliant carer the best any child could have :-) well done cathy and good luck for the future and I hope 1 day Jodie can return to live with you and have the mummy she should of had from the day she was born Amy xxx

Well worth the read!. I’m not a big reader myself however I struggled to put this down! Written in such an amazing way. Definitely pulled on my heart strings! 100% recommend!

Touching, heart wrenching, intense. Couldn't put it down.. I read this in about 5 hours - although I am a fast reader for an amazing book! I just couldn't put this down. The end of every chapter had me pulled in to turn the page again and read 'just one more chapter' but of course it turned into the whole book! I was gripped into this book and the story of a little girl who was struggling so much. Definitely recommended highly :)

Fab!. Honestly could not put this down, at points it truly in unbelievable what this young child went through. Cathy really is a remarkable women! This is the best of her books I've read

Right from the off. The story grabs your heart right from the start and squeezes it up until the end, I became totally enwrapped in the story with a right good sob at the end, Bravo Cathy

Amazing. Another amazing read! Cathy glass if my favourite author and each book seems to individually draw me in. I work with children and Cathy’s patience and enthusiasm inspires me. This book is most definitely one of my favourites

Loved it. This book is a must read , it had me captured from the first word I literally could not put it down. Loved it x

Fantastic. I read this book months ago and I still think about Jodie, such a harrowing story but couldn’t put it down.

Damaged. Read in two days couldn't put it down. Cried my eyes out

Damaged by Cathy Glass. Im the kind of person who finds it hard to continue a book til the very end, but after the first few chapters, i was hooked! And i dont think i put it down more than twise until id read the whole thing! Deffinatly leaves you wanting to know more, what happend next. Although it is very upsetting, unsettling and chilling at times, it is 100% worth the read! I loved it and look forward to reading more of Cathy's work.

Damaged. I read this book within 4 days and I don't usually read... However I couldn't put this down! It had me in floods of tears at the end was so sad! Brilliant book! Loved it! An recommend it to anyone!

Damaged. Wow!!! What a read & the sad thing is these things do happen, admiration to you Cathy for your perseverance, you are some woman !!!

Damaged. Having only just recently discovered Cathie's books, I have had the joy of choosing which order I have read them. Damaged brings to light the hard work and determination in which Cathie's care of each child, exceeds beyond the expectations of any foster carer. She is a fantastic writer and you really become part of each story. I've laughed and cried and been up and down on the emotional ride as if it were me living it. Fantastic!!

Incredibly touching. I've started knowing the author reading another book and it didn't quite make an impression but this definitely did!!! You can tell in this there's all author's heart and soul!!! Thank you for your job both as carer and author!!! And a thought for Jodie as she could lead the best possible life after all she's been through....

Excellent. Loved this true story amazing inspiring excellent that’s all xx and I pray Jodie gets the happy ever after she deserves

Damaged. I love Cathy glasses books! She writes in a way that makes you feel apart of the family and as you are reading you can Picture your self in the home as if observing everything that is happening. But I love the honesty as well of exactly what’s happened! Showing the world that a percentage of the country children are not safe and need help and support and to be more understanding and patient with children! I am unable to Forster myself but I wish I could! I use Cathy tactics with my own children keeping firm boundaries and routine! Thank you Cathy for making us readers apart of your family and educating us. You are a amazing writer and one amazing person in the world!

Damaged. I have just finished reading this book and it's turned my stomach the things that were done to this child are horrific. Cathy and her family did everything in there power to help this little girl but where were the authority's. No child should be left in the care of people like that they should be ashamed of themselves. The book is very well written.

First book. This is the first Cathy Glass book I read and I have been reading about her and her family ever since! This book was a real tear jerker and real eye opener to what abuse can do, I just could not put it down! What Cathy does is amazing and a real inspiration to the rest of us. Please keep writing Cathy.

Fantastic. I've never read a story of Cathy's before but my god it really gets you involved, credit to you, and your family. What a wonderful book.

Great book. I could not put this book down !!! Every chance I had I was reading it was a great book an a real eye opener .

So sad!. A very sad story.... Thank goodness there r people like Cathy out there... It was a very moving story that broke my heart.

Brilliant read. A very heartfelt and touching story. I couldn't put it down and felt like I went through it all with them.

Damaged. I got this book for the simple fact that it needs to be known that social services have a great deal of work to do but also have a short falling and in the hope that it teaches the public regardless of fear to recognise the signs of abuse and not be afraid to speak up. Foster careers are the unsung heroes of these children that are not educated in knowing it's wrong especially when it's a parent, family member or family friend. We all need to be educated and this book give a genuine and frank view of the system and then outcome of great warmth of one person which is all it takes. I hope that jodie continues to make progress in her life and it's full of happiness.

Heartbreaking. This book was one of the most difficult and emotional books I have ever read, however I had to see it through as I needed to read some sort of happy ending. My heart goes out to anyone who has had to face what Jodie did and my support and respect goes out to all foster carers

Fantastic. Incredibly sad and heartbreaking but well worth reading. Amazing author.

Poor Jodie. I was couldn't believe what I read poor Jodie it's upsetting but once again cathy did not give up patience of a saint it's a defo read!!!

Amazing. Absolutely amazing read couldn't put it down,

Excellent book. Couldn't hold myself, cried like a baby in the end!!!

Mummy13. Reading this story has moved me so much, I didn't put the book down and finished within a day. I want to praise foster parents like Cathy, as not many people will be so kind, patient and carrying like her. I can't even put my head around the trauma Jodie went through and this is a true eye opener for the social system here regarding children, I'm a mother myself and this book has only made me realise how much I love my kids and only made me more patient towards them. A big thank you to Cathy for being so strong, where the true parents failed so ugly

Wow.. My first iBook purchase, and brought on by a friend reading the same book. For someone who doesn't read, I have not been able to put this down, and finished it in a mere 3 days. The way Glass retells this story is executed with perfect conviction and at times brutally honest. From Jodie's first days, to the introduction of Reg, this book had me, cover to cover..

Unbelievable. Unbelievable to think that a child could have gone through so much. Really made me appreciate my upbringing which was far from perfect. Such a fabulous read, and such a sad yet satisfying ending.

Damaged. This is the most devastating book I have ever read. It was so difficult to read, yet I could not put it down in the hopes for a positive ending. What Jodie suffered is unimaginable. The world needs more people in it like Cathy.

Damaged. Another brilliant book. As you read on, you feel the emotions of all involved. Yes as much as I love reading the books and can't put them down, reality is that these books are based on children's real lives and it's horrible to know that they've been treated this way. These poor children have not been cared for by the people they should be able to trust and love the most. It truly amazes me that people like Cathy and her family do such an amazing job and restore some humanity to their lives.

An amazing story. Such a good read, I couldn't put it down, wanting to know how Jodie would progress and reading Cathy's struggle with an emotionally and physically damaged little girl! I have now recommended it to everyone who will listen! Makes me want to do something extraordinary with my life. Thank you!

Heartbreaking. Another beautifully written book by Cathy, amazed my her dedication.

Jodie. Such a sad story showing the realities of the animals of our society and how damaging their actions can be. A truly remarkable story of such a loving woman with a giant heart. Very inspiring

Amazing. Cathy really puts 100% into all the children she fisters but goes the extra mile in with this child. Extremely well written and so many twists and turns I couldn’t out it down.

From Sam. Amazing!!! I couldn't put it down. Cathy is so strong and such a fantastic foster carer. I just can't believe what Jodie went through.
