Read it in a day!. I bought it, read it on the plane, in the cab ride and finished it at the hotel room. J.L does a great job humanizing the main characters and their decisions.. Do I say or go? Do I help, ignore or run? Every decision has a consequence.

Day by day. Great read very different from the tomorrow war series. I can't wait for another one!!! Thanks for the books and your service to our country.

Great stuff. I have read over 40 zombie novels this year and this series remains my favorite. Can't wait until the third book comes out!!!

Fun re-read. Read in paperback many years ago and enjoyed re-reading it again. A little dated as technology has advanced a lot, but still a worthy part of the genre.

Fantastic Series. By far one of my favorite zombie apocalypse survival books, if not my favorite.

Entertaining. This was definitely a fun read, if you like zombies. I noticed spelling and grammar issues, but maybe they were intentional since the book was supposed to represent a diary of one of the survivors. For the same reason, there was no dialog between the characters unfortunately. I most likely will buy the sequel.

Too expensive. This was a good book and fine story but it was short and too much money for a "diary". I will NOT spend the money on the sequel. Just purchased Swan Song, Robert McCammom, for the same price. It was fantastic and was two thousand pages long with..... dialog!

Great read!. I've never been a big reader, but I can tell you that I had this finished in 3 days. I was hooked. I have bought the sequel and have just started to read that. If you are interested in zombies then this book is for you.

Great read. A view of horror through journal entries. Read it in two days. Couldn't stop. Ready for second book.

Absolutely amazing. Day By Day is one of the best horror-fiction novels that I have ever read. I would absolutely recommend it to any horror/zombie aficionados. JL Bourne is a great author and I cannot wait to read the next installment of the Day By Day series.

Political Horror. Just a few pages into it and you have to make not-subtle-enough political statements? No thanks, Mr. Limbaugh. Reading a zombie novel is for fun; not a for being exposed to a horror author's political argument. And how convenient that the story is told in the style of personal journal entries. Writing imaginary journal entries is much easier than truly writing a novel. Bram Stoker did a great job in his epistolary format. You could've at least tried that. I'm glad I haven't bought the sequels already.

Day by Day Armageddon. Brilliant, best story I have read in ages....just buy it.

Great for suspense and for postapacoliptic readers alike. This book will keep you on edge and wondering what will happen next. And you are always wondering if one of them is going to make it or be turned into the undead.

Kept me reading. This is an awesome book and one of the more realistic apocalypse books. I can't wait to read the next two books in the series. If you are a fan of zombie apocalypse series this is a must read!

Great zombie book, but. Excellent story, well written and a quick read. However, for $10, 231 pages is too short in my opinion.

Zombie fan. I am a big zombie movie freak. This is the first zombie book that I ever read and it was awesome. It kept me hooked. I recommend it. Can't wait to read the next book By this author.

Doesn't Measure Up. While I really wanted to like Day by Day, I found myself disappointed by the lack of sophistication in the book. Given how elevated the level of storytelling has become in this genre (Zone 1, Reapers are the Angels), this feels like a doomsday prepper fantasy handbook. Without giving away too many spoilers, (spoiler alert) I'm frustrated by how easily he finds everything he needs, from airplanes to medical experts to "hot chicks." Still an entertaining enough narrative, though, for me to keep reading... I just feel a little disappointed in myself for doing so.

Great Zombie Book. Just great zombie fiction!

Great entry!!. This is an amazing entry into the zombie horror genre! Written as a journal it really immerses you into the feeling and mindset of a survivor. Clearly the author has military experience or very good consults. The main character is a very believable military member. Highly recommended.

Day by day. This is the book that inspired me to read again after stopping for more than 12 years. This is also the first book that I have read that actually scared me and made me afraid of the dark for a day or two, this is an amazing book 5 stars!!

Totally worth the read. This book is written through a journal and a pen of a militant, gone AWOL. But that in itself can be a down side. The beginning of the book started off nice then it slowed down to the point were I questioned whether or not I should have bought the book. It quickly picks back up and you on your way enjoying it again. The book is informative about the situation too so if you wanted any ideas about what to stock up on for a zombie apocalypse or just a disaster on a country wide scale it has some nice tips in there too. In closing I would of givin it a solid 5/5 stars if it was not for that slow part close to the beginning. Well done with the book and I will def be purchasing your other two books.

Not bad I guess. I'd hate to discourage anyone from reading something fun, but just a heads up so you know what you're about to pay for. This reads very much like a hastily written fan story with little character development. It's supposed to be journal format, but at times it forgets this, and the story progresses real-time with the protagonist making instant decisions and sudden observations. All in all it's fun, but the overall story lacks the depth and intrigue that is commonplace for this genre.

Great book!. Very well written. Really enjoyed the first hand account of the story via a mans journal entries. This book was hard to put down and easy to read throughout. Looking forward to the sequels!

Armageddon day by day. It's a good book and definitely keeps you interested. The ending was kind of abrupt and lacked finality. It's definitely set up for a sequel if one has been or ever will be written.
