Good. I liked this sequel I hope there will be another.

A must read sequel, but still a sequel. The concept and gore is not as fresh as in The Descent, but you know you have to find out what happens next!

Perfect. The decent series is one of the best series I've read. And deeper keeps you asking for more. The way he writes you into this underground world is nothing short of gorgeous. This is one if those books you read and you escape from your reality. Now go read it......... Are you reading yet?

Meh. I was expecting so much more. I loved the first book, but this one is just...not good at all. The plot doesn’t mesh well with the first book, and the entire “children’s crusade” is just a drawn out predictable massacre with poor characters making poor decisions leading to a poor ending. The cherry on top was the infusion of not so subtle political views into the story which was unnecessary and begs the question, “Why even put this crap in here?!” Came to read a novel and got a smoothie of jumbled plot lines and stupidity with a god/devil creature living in a hole who can’t remember yesterday but loves eating people. Glad I spent my money on this!

Fun read. I truly enjoyed both books, a fun read.

Deeper (pockets). Firstly... £11.99 for an iBook ? Come on people! As for the book, I baulked at paying such an extortionate price for the iBook version, and went old school for a fraction of the cost. Great to be back in the Hadal's world again, while not quite as gripping as The Descent, it's still a great page turner, and raises the hairs on the back of your neck at times!
