Loved This Book!!. A great read! Jaw dropping from beginning to end!

Page Turner. I loved this book from start to finish. I literally felt like I was right there with them. The descriptions of places, people, and personalities seemed so real. The story is a tragic, but beautiful one. Loved it!

Perfect. Excellent read! Do not assume you know what this book is about before you start to read because I promise you that you would be wrong.

Amazing from start to finish. There are so many words I could use to describe how wonderfully written this story was presented. As much as it entertained my mind with the vivid details of the south and the people in the story it also allowed me to think about the gender stereotypes we have in today's society. This book translates to the views we have of the world today. I absolutely enjoyed it to the fullest!

Brings Life To Life!. I couldn't put this book down, it was so good! Daniel Black has done an excellent job bringing to light those things that have been done in the dark to so many of our brethren, so many of us... The happenings in this book are a regular occurrence in our communities as such is life and there truly is nothing new under the sun. Even though some passages were painful to read they weren't foreign to normal life experience. I've seen or heard of these incidences happen so many times. We need to stop turning a blind eye out of shame and condemnation and deal with these situations so our children will stop being abused. A selfish heart can destroy more than just the intended. It reaches far into the lives of everyone you are attached to. I've seen many a mother turn her daughter into a son and vice versa. The approach may have not been as deliberate as Emma Jean's. But the intent and ultimate result was the same - an emasculated or hyper masculine child who is confused about their identity and has to fight themselves and the world to find themselves -someone wrongly driven from the bosom of God by other peoples' selfish ignorance. But God will deliver them out of them all.

Perfect Peace. Well done. A subject written in a manner I have never come across. Mr. Black had a little trouble remaining in the right era. But it just little things. The story was a good I will be looking for his next book

This book has so many twists and turns. It gives you the craziest feelings. You love will fall in love with each character even when they make you mad! I found myself rushing home from work to read it!

Wonderfully written book. This book is amazingly good. I literally couldn't put it down from the moment I started! The characters are so very well developed and realistic that you feel you get to really know and understand them. This book really shows the pain and suffering that the entire family must deal with the aftermath of disaster due the mother's overwhelming desire to have a daughter she felt that she deserved

Great read. I read the sample in 10 minutes. I then ordered the book and read it in a day in a half. I was on the hunt for a good book And I found it. I felt like I was part of the book and I could not wait to read what happened next. I cried, laughed, gasped for air, and feel in love with Perfect Peace and his family. I will recommend this book to any and everybody. Love yourself. Read the book you will not regret it!

Had me in a chokehold. This book right here.. whew... I couldn't put it down and when I did I was constantly thinking of the characters and what would/ could happen next. It was well written and keeps you engaged the whole time. It was a bit trauma heavy which could be triggering for some. But I would still recommend this book. 10/10 I wasn't ready for it to end.

He presently teaches my second oldest in the same course, who convinced me to purchase this book and read it... “Perfect Peace” embodies the purpose of sending of why I sent my son’s to Morehouse College. A 150 year old institution teaching and reminding young men of their humanity, “Perfect Peace” helps solidify that purpose..and deliver a message to my sons that I struggled delivering. Thank you Dr. Daniel Black. Your are a gift to Morehouse. You are a gift to the universe.

Perfect Peace. This Was the most well put together piece of literature that I've read in a really long time, if not the best!! At no point during the novel did I get bored or regret making the purchase.. Look I'm gonna add more stars cuz 5 isn't enough!!****************

Excellent. This is the best book I have read! I laughed, cried, held my breath, etc, etc, etc. My heart was touched in several unusual ways as I tried to examine "what in the world" was happening. The book was a easy, complex, nail bitter. Thanks for grabbing me and holding my attention. Awesome!

Breathtaking and emotional. This book tells an amazing story of family, love, and acceptance. The emotional roller coaster you will experience as you read this story is magnified by the character development. I highly recommend this book to all who have felt lost or ridiculed. This is a book for those who have been told they are not enough. For those who have been scrutinized for their nonconformist tendencies. This is a book of love.

MUST-READ. loved Dr. Black's first two books. This one was somewhat weird, but great. Once I got to what I thought was the climax of the book halfway through, I stopped reading. I wasn't curious to know anything else. I'm so glad I decided to finish though. I expected a better ending, but I promise the story as a whole is more than sufficient.

Very Moving. Took me a little while to get interested in the book, but once I did I loved it. It was really inspirational and the wisdom that some of these characters have is astounding. It was both entertaining and thought provoking.

Awesome. I could not put this book down. Extremely well written. I had to read in private because of the tears that would not stop falling as I read Perfect's traumatic story. My favorite character was Eva Mae. She is a true friend indeed.

A real page turner.. I absolutely enjoyed this book. From the first page I was instantly captivated into the livelihood of the Peace family. The first chapter sucked me in like no other. Daniel Black is an excellent storyteller. This book has easily became one of favorites. I love how he outlines the lives of every single member of the family as well as the overall meaning of love and family. I do wish that he would’ve went more in depth about the remainder of the lives of each peace member. I sort of feel like I was left with a cliffhanger considering how close I felt to the characters. Overall, I enjoyed this book and am excited to read more by Daniel Black.

Amazing story!. Wow! What a creative story of characters. I did not want it to end. I would love to see it as a movie. This author took me on a journey that was moving in do many ways. I wept at the end. Great book!
