5 stars and need a sequel. A must read for seasoned DMB fans as well as new fans looking to understand WHY we love this band so and see as many annual concerts as we can. #foreverdancingwiththeGROOGRUXKING

Sort of embarrassed!. Never new you could publish a book by basically regurgitating previous books, magazine interviews and radio interviews. This book really provided me no insight or interesting look into my all-time favorite band. while I'm on that subject, DMB is a phenomenal band, my all time favorite! I have been to dozens of shows but I was embarrassed reading some of the interviews this woman got for this book. These people REALLY NEED TO GET A LIFE! For the normal well adjusted human, DMB is not their life source. This book almost paints its fans in a "cult-like" brush stroke. Sort of scary!! In any case, I would not recommend this book as it is boring and not insightful in the least. My suggestion would be if your curious about DMB buy DMB "listener supported" & "live at Piedmont" and go see them the next time they are close. You"ll get it!!!!!!

Like a Good Meatloaf. I was excited to read this, and having finished it, I feel like I just finished a great meal of comfort food like meatloaf. The book is well written and gives a great history of both the genesis and journey or DMB as well as the fans who have reveled with them. There is a little big of everything in then book and I would be surprised if anyone could say there is something missing. If you are a DMB fan this is a great read. If you just want to understand the DMB phenomenon, this is a great introduction, which will leave you realizing why DMB has to be experienced live if you truly are going to get it.

Nice Read. This is a well written book about DMB. Interesting for diehards; only downside is that there are no new revelations. Otherwise, a solid reset of DMB history.

Wow… So Much More. I write this in the title because I was introduced to DMB very late in the game, and although I thought I knew all I needed to about this popular, yet seemingly unsuspecting band, there was so much more to them. Obviously one element is their stage presence, another their ability to sound AWESOME live, but most of all, their fans. Reading through this book reminds me of the first time I saw DMB live, and how impressed I was by the fans. Thank you to the author for giving me more insight into the world of DMB, and a better understanding of the history of a culture of people that were both: so focused on what they were doing, and willing to take the time to welcome a late-comer. Overall, great read!

love. I feel as if I have written this book. After the many shows I have attended I get the same giddy feeling I know every DMB fan gets every summer. We have a passion for the band and the music and ambiance of the shows they put on. I live in Indiana and get one of the greatest Dave shows every year at Deer Creek, I also travel to catch them "just one more time". This band fills me and every friend I turn on to it full of love! Thank you Amy for the book and the feeling. Btw I just saw Dave a week ago for the caravan in chicago. Best three nights off my year! "Thank you falettin me be mice elf agin"
