I loved this book. Great plot. John Grisham Is such a great writer John Grisham is.. Many locations. Redemption of an attorney. Who wouldn’t love that!

Brought me to tears. Once again, John has gone beyond my expectations, threading the plot ever so delicately, leading me to believe the outcome might be A when in fact it was B, and B was even more amazing than I had hoped for A! Those who read John Grisham will appreciate the sensitive way he has exposed the scale of human values from the bottom of the barrel to the most enlightened among us. A definite read for anyone with a good heart!

A good read.. He has written much better books but this one still had me reading to the very end! What a surprise ending. Thanks again John, what a story.

The testament. Very very good story. Could not put it down. When finished I was saddened to leave the characters behind. What a wonderful story!

Inspiring. Read this book in Italy twelve years ago and led me to be a better person, trying to avoid all those mistakes Nate made. I was 34, lived in Italy working as a busy lawyer. Now I'm 46, live in Chicago, divorced, went twice to rehab and read again this book. I made half of Nate's mistakes, fortunately no kids. Hope to meet my Rachel sometime and to read this book more often

Great read. Great book as usual. From the beginning, it had me guessing what would happen next! I highly recommend this for anyone.

The Testament. As always, Mr. Grisham takes you on a journey of greed, lust and life as it is portrayed in his fantasy world. A nice place to escape too. Fun and easy read.

Very good book. My mother gave me this book and another of Grisham's books, The Brethren. I really enjoyed both books very much and am looking forward to getting another.

Great book!. This is the fourth book I read from this author, and I have been very pleased with all fours. Well written and full of surprises. It will definitely keep you wanting more.

Brilliant, as always!. John Grisham once again leads a twisting and turning novel of humor, law and suspense. He pulls you into the story and walks you right down the village trails of the Ipica and then leaves you rolling on the courtroom floor at the Phelan heirs and their ludicrous attempts at being the perfect witness. The day John Grisham dots his last period of a novel will be a dreadful day.

Because it means that the only way we will get to enjoy your wonderful stories is through the everything you will have written and published up to that point. I love reading books by lots of different authors, so John Grisham isn’t the only one I can honestly say that about. But he is probably one of the rare authors who can write so well. Let’s appreciate all of the truly wonderful storytellers who are still living, folks! The ones that we truly consider masters! Since they are only human, their gifts won’t last forever and probably not long enough! If you want another fantastic book from THIS author, The Testament is a great time that you definitely shouldn’t miss!

Amazing. It is rare that you read a work of fiction that challenges you to strive to become a better person and is entertaining all at the same time. This book is like no other novel I've ever read. It goes from extreme simplicity to extreme greed in just the turn of the page - and caught in the middle is the lead character, Nate, who I feel like I know personally. I loved this book so much that I stopped reading it abut 60 pages from the end just so I could make sure that I could finish it in peace and quiet the next morning. Reading this book is an experience I hope I never forget.
