The Innocent. This book was absolutely amazing. The beginning was very slow and the tension slowly started to build up. I will definitely get the next book in the Will Robie series. I highly recommend this book for everyone.

Kept me engrossed the whole time. I loved this book and could not put it down. The twists and turns in the storyline are great. Loved the characters. Will Robie is a decent guy and I really felt bad for the way he has chosen to live his life on one side but on the other he makes a difference every day he shows up for work. Love Julie’s character and her spunk reminds me of a friend of mine (also named Julie) and even super agent Vance. Yes, there are some things unlikely in the book but for me the pieces fit together and worked. I was completely engrossed in the book and that ultimately that’s what makes me give a book 5 stars.

The innocent. Type of book you just can't put down. You bond with the characters and put yourself right there with them. Can't wait for Will Robbie's next adventure.

Floyd4622. Amazing read! There were a couple of times I had to stop reading for a while. It was just so intense with the details of torture of Mercy I had to take a break. The other was pitting the sisters against each other. I have read nearly all The author’s books. A great talent for building his characters.

Please read it. One of the fastest moving, great story books I have ever read. I wanted it to end so I could understand all the plot twists but I didn't want it to end because it was so interesting. This is a really great book.

More Twist and Turns!. True to his writing, another “can’t put it down” book! I had stopped reading a few years back and seriously wanted to bring that back into my life. This guy was in my top 5 favs for intriguing excitement! It was no mistake, I’m back! Can’t wait to read the next one in this series. And I love that he does such a great job of building the character to such a level, you feel like you know him personally!

Another book by a man who thinks women are used to further the storyline of men. I get tired of the whole pointless love interest that does nothing to further the plot and has a sex scene/romance in it for no reason. This book has quite a few main characters who are underdeveloped and poorly written. I enjoyed the plot for the first half of the book, but lost interest by the end.

Superb. The characters were as complex as the storyline. Yet "Innocent" was an easy read. I was hooked from page one. I didn't think I would like a character more than Oliver Stone, but Baldacci has outdone himself. I actually just reread this novel in preparation for "the Hit." I almost never read a book more than once. "Outstanding and thought provoking"

Always has action. I'm very picky about the books I choose to read and this book made my top list. With an Assassin and the story taking place in a big city is just flawless. I am looking forward to reading more of the authors books.

Couldn’t stop reading. This book is masterfully written. The plot becomes a bit obvious concerning who the main other killer is but forgivable for how the story is told. Action fans may have a problem with how godly the main character’s skills are but it is evened out by other goings on. The obviousness of the story and the character development is only reason why hold back the fifth star. That being said, this is one of the better action novels I’ve read in a very long time.

The Innocent. Much too predictable and the writing had a cadence like a Dragnet episode. Because I like Baldacci I read on, expecting the book to get better but it never did.

I’m sad.. I miss David Baldacci. Like Robert Ludlum, someone has clearly bought the Baldacci name.

Absolute Page Turner. I couldn’t put the book down. I was turned on to this series by reading the last book first, End Game. It really doesn’t matter which book you read first, as they do tie into one another, they all have different stories. I’ve read 3 out of the series in 13 days and do not plan to stop until I’ve read them all. David’s books are so thrilling that you cannot put them down.

Non-Stop. This is the best action, suspense, mystery type book I've read in I don't know when. I'm not well-educated on the ins and outs of being a government hit man, governments or government agencies, but it was all very believable to me. Also, it has so many layers and twists. Some authors would have made the story much simpler. When I began to think the plot was winding down, a whole new piece would enter. Can't wait to find out what happens to Robie next.

The Innocent. Grabbed me from chapter one and took me late into the night and one though the next day until I finished it. I just had to know what was going to happen next. The author has continued to write in a captivating style; one that keeps me wanting more. I have read many of his books and will continue to do so.

Worth a read.... Second or third Baldacci book I've read, first in this series...I'm a big Connelly/Silva fan, so I love this genre...overall, a worthwhile read, kept my interest and a good buildup to what was a fairly predictable end...the one thing that really bothered me was, without spoiling anything, I am not sure what 14 year olds Baldacci has spent time with, but as a middle school teacher, I can promise you that no 14 year old speaks in the dialogue this one did, even the smartest, most precocious ones! Other than that mild annoyance, I would recommend it, and I'm starting the second one in the series soon.

Slow start, great book.... Even though I felt like it started slow, it easily captivated enough to keep me reading through those nine chapters. I was happy to see they tied in more later in the book. I think he's my new favorite author, so the slow start obviously wast too bad! Going to buy the next book today!

Fabulous read. I could not put the book down.. Great book. The ending was a bit too fast but a well written book. It kept your attention from the first paragraph in Chapter 1.
