Wonderful book. If you have become entranced with the James Herriot books, as I have, and you want to find out about him, what better person to write about him than his son. I enjoyed this book "the real James Herriot" because it gave details of James Herriot's life which explained how and why an ordinary vet became a famous author, yet never let it go to his head. I really enjoyed this book.
