LOVE ITTT. GONE WITH THE WIND IS MY FAVORITE MOVIE AND WHEN I FOUND OUT SOMEONE WROTE A SEQUEL I HAD TO READ IT AND I JUST LOVED IT. RHETT AND SCARLETT STORY IS JUST AWESOME

Worst book ever!!. I am a HUGE GWTW fan. I’ve read it like 30 times!! This was just a really unconvincing book that seems like the author never even read GWTW. I applaud the author on the quality of the book but overall I think it could use some improvement.

Scarlett lives!. This was a great continuation of a classic love story but with the proper ending I wish that Vivian Leigh and Clark Gable we're still alive to do the picture ! Thank You Alexandra Ripley!

Love the continuation of Scarlett and Rhett’s story. I love how Scarlett persevered and made a great life for herself, despite being on her own. She was never really respected anywhere she went and had to work hard at everything she did. She wasn’t going to let life bring her down!! I love how after all the years the love her and Rhett shared only grew stronger, although they spent many years apart.

Loved the book.. I have been a fan of Gone with the Wind since I read the original when I was 16. I was waiting for years to find out what happens with Rhett and Scarlett. This is a great book - it continues the story wonderfully. I wish they would make an audobook so I can put it on my iPod with with Gone with the Wind and Rhett Butlers People.

Loved. I loved this book. And they did make this into a movie. It was done several years ago.

.. Don't read Scarlett, the end is so over the top and awful. I was hesitant to read the book because it wasn't penned by Mitchell, but my curiosity got the better of me and I caved. I think because I didn't hold high hopes for the book I liked it more than I would have, but the end is just terrible. I would recommend "Rhett Butler's People" you don't in any way need to read "Scarlett," in fact the stories contradict each other often. The ending in RBP is at least believable.

It's so bad.... I got it as soon as I finished reading GWTW and I can't believe how bad the writing is - it's truly disappointing. While I recognize the sequel can't be at the same caliber as Mitchell's writing, I did not expect it to be so inferior. I can hardly believe the characters would say or do the things put forth in the sequel! They are so incongruent, it's like the Riply never read the original book. What a waste money!

My all time favorite books!. I have read Scarlett many times. I absolutely love the story. Scarlett gets what she has coming to her in this book, but also goes through a life-changing transformation of her character (but not too much so). I am waiting and hoping for an audio version. I have actually purchased and listened to Dixie Carter read an abridged version on cassette tapes, but they leave out so much of the story, it really needs to be redone. The movie version of Scarlett was horrible! They changed the story line completely. Such a disappointment.

You'll like it until the end. It's a great read, and fulfills your fantasy of what Scarlet would do to get Rhett back, until the end. The last part of this story is not believable and disappointing. I didn't feel the ending held true to Scarlet's & Rhett's characters. If Margret Michelle wanted Rhett & Scarlet together she would of left them together.

Nooooooo. Im a huge fan of gone with the wind,but sorry I say no to this book because if u really love the true story then u won't like this book!:( I was disappointed. P.S I'm 11

Entertaining Sequel to my favorite book. Scarlett was an entertaining, "can't put down" read. Although it doesn't have the same caliber as Gone with the Wind, it gave fans of the Mitchell classic what they asked for, what happened next in the life of one of the most beloved heroines.
