Another Good Read. Like others, I believe I have (am) reading these books out of order, and wish the author would label them so one could keep them ordered, but even at that, not much is lost reading them out of order. That being said, another good read and I will now dive in the next one.

Virtual death. The text kept changing size. Very detracting. Story ok.

A beautiful story.. I have to say,.. it can be a little hard to pin down. Don’t get me wrong, I love it! It’s.. just a little tough to capture in a review. This is my second time reading this, first time was a little over 5 years ago. E.R.Masons’ books have held a place in my heart. Especially these 4 with Cassiopeia and Markman. It’s sci-fi, but then it goes soul-searchingly introspective.. One moment of fight-to-survive-and-protect-the-ones-you-love, the next moment wondering how-can-I-be-the-good-guy-if-I-just-did-that? I feel that this series and how the stories play out (okay, maybe E.R. should’ve PAID a proofreader, lol) really do put forth good, simple points about how people can do better. For themselves and everyone else. At the same time wrapping good beliefs in sci-fi, so you don’t need to take it all too seriously. Even though all the books in this series could be read as stand-alone, I recommend them in; The Empty Door, The Virtual Dead, The Glass Hummingbird, Aurora City. No matter what order, I hope you read them and enjoy them. I think they’re beautiful, and some days,.. I think about aspects of them a lot to help me through.

Great story. Very good story, with very few mistakes in spelling. Grammatically correct, mostly. However, the difference in the size of type made reading difficult.

text size still a problem. Random text size changes? Doesn't someone at Apple care the readers below and I find it hard to read? The story has innovation, humor, insight and excitement, BUT what if it were all one text size? Then it would get 5 stars. Now...Whoever has the power to fix this for future readers, please please do so.

Out of Order. There are apparently several stories in this series and this is one of the earlier ones but it's too bad they are not numbered in some way. I've already read later stories in the same series without first being aware of the older ones so numbering them would have been nice. Also, this particular "edition" suffered from terrible editing and preparation. The font size ranged from huge to microscopic making reading very difficult. Come on, how hard can it be to pick a font size before publishing? Also, the proof reader needs to learn how to use commas. They were missing where needed and there when unnecessarily. That said, the story is quite good and without going I to a full synopsis, it is action-filled and easily kept my attention.

Mason is a great writer.. I haven't read for a long time, the company I work with required I buy an iPad. Learning to use it I discovered the books app. I liked science fiction in the past, anyhow I purchased one of the E.R. Mason books. I couldn't put it down, he spins a tale that in my minds picture is vibrant and glowing. For some reason I missed this book The Virtual Dead, it caught me up and wrapped me in its adventure as the rest of his writing has done. My only regret is that the book ended. So now I have to go in search of another of his writings. At some time in my life I would like to meet this E.R.Mason. Bill Sherry awaiting another book.

An interesting plot. This is an interesting take on an alien invasion plot. The characters are coerced into taking part in a deadly quest, little realising that even that dilemma would pale into insignificance. It’s worth a read.

The virtual dead. Read another book by this author so gave it a read, really enjoyed it ,well thought out

The Virtual Dead.. Once again another action packed story from the author, great pace and good characters. Great sequel, enjoying this series very much. Highly recommended.
