Sever by Lauren DeStefano Book Summary

Time is running out for Rhine in the conclusion to the New York Times bestselling Chemical Garden Trilogy.

With time ticking until the virus takes its toll, Rhine is desperate for answers. After enduring Vaughn’s worst, Rhine finds an unlikely ally in his brother, an eccentric inventor named Reed, and she takes refuge in his dilapidated house. However, the people she left behind refuse to stay in the past. While Gabriel haunts Rhine’s memories, Cecily is determined to be at Rhine’s side, even if Linden’s feelings are still caught between them.

Meanwhile, Rowan’s growing involvement in an underground resistance compels Rhine to reach him before he does something that cannot be undone. But what she discovers along the way has alarming implications for her future—and on the past her parents never had the chance to explain.

In this breathtaking conclusion to Lauren DeStefano’s Chemical Garden trilogy, everything Rhine knows to be true will be irrevocably shattered.

Sever by chair54. I absolutely loved the book, I couldn’t put it down and that for me, is rare because I usually don’t read books that I don’t like. It’s mysterious, it makes you want to know what’s going to happen next, trust me I know I couldn’t stop it’s one the best books I’ve ever read, actually it might me the best book I’ve ever read yet, I could on go on.

Excited. If this book is anything like the first two, you are in for an amazing treat! I am very excited for this book to go on sale!!!!!

Must read. This is absolutely the best book of all the series. I can't believe how amazing it is!

Annapretty2. Finished reading it in two days.....LOVED IT! It's full of twists couldn't put it down!

Awesome. The trilogy was great. The worry that humans can be the destruction of the human race is daunting. Will technology be our undoing?

Amazing. This book is absolutely amazing. It gives you excitement and you can't put its down. It's one of the best books that I have ever read.

What The Hell?!?!. Once I finished reading this book I was completely frustrated about the lack of effort in what happens to everyone else in this book. 1. What happens to Gabriel? 2. Is all that crap about how Rhine doesn't have any feelings towards Gabriel true? 3. Is this "cure" given to everyone? 4. Who the hell was the apprentice at the end? 5. What happened to the servant, Deirdre? I assume she is dead but, the book neither confirms or denies this. 6. What happens with all the terrorist stuff? 7. What becomes of Rowan? 8. What happens to all the women being held against their will, for example Madame's girl, or for another example, the children that are kidnapped by Gatherer? 9. What happens to Reed? 10. What will happen to all the pigs of men who keep more than 1 wife? I could go on but, I think I am good with this. This book was a disaster.

Sever. This book is missing chapters! Every book i have downloaded from this series on my iPad is missing pages etc.

So Good!. I originally stated this trilogy when I was in school but decided to finish it now and I’m so happy I did. This book made me cry my eyes out and mourn characters as if they existed in real life. The descriptions and similes are used beautifully and create a mental illustration. I also love the character development displayed in this trilogy. Though the ending was much more sad than I anticipated, it didn’t leave me hanging which was nice. This book gave me emotional whiplash, and I loved every moment of it!

LOVEE it. I really liked it except for the ending. I wanted more closure...

So in love with the series!. This is absolutely hands down the best book I've ever read!

Disappointed. I loved the books before this one but the last chapters of this book were a bit disappointing. I didn't want a certain someone to die! I won't mention who so as to not spoil it but I sort of just wanted to stop reading the book after that :(

Can't wait!!. This trilogy is the best one I've read since the hunger games!!! Totally love it and I'm sure the third book will be a smash! I HIGHLY recommend reading Divergent by Veronica Roth or Delirium by Lauren Oliver if you like this!
