Great book. This book is full of twists and turns and really keeps you hooked. I highly recommend it.

Not my cup of tea. Having read all eight of the Logan McRae series, I tried this one. It was a bit gory for my taste. I didn't like the main character -- not my kind of cop. Too rough, too much of a loose cannon. I gave it three stars because of all the twists and turns. Well written.

cant finish it. I gave it til chapter 6. Too many f bombs for me. Plus the slang seems to be from the UK. 8 have enjoyed his other works, but not this one.

Slow start. It really took some time before I got into this book, but towards the end there were some flashes of his earlier work.

Disappointed. Had high hopes for this book because I love the Logan McRae series, this book is written very different I only got a 3rd of the way through and that was painful! Lots of holes in the story felt like I had missed pages, didn't feel an instant connection to the characters as I did with the McRae series Very disappointed and annoyed at the price I paid!

Nasty but very readable. Possibly one of the nastiest books I've read, but compelling. Couldn't put it down once started! Should really be made into a TV drama. Horribly believable characters, only made tolerable by the rich dark humour

Birthday Boy. Thought the DS Rae books were excellent, but this stand alone book didn't disappoint. looking forward to more from Stuart McBride.
