Oh. My. Word.. I read the first books through the course of 4 months, ending in October 2011. I just couldn't wait for fear to be released!! Now that I've read it, I take my hat off to Michael Grant! It's amazing how he always leaves a book slightly unresolved leaving room and much anticipation for a sequal. Michael better write a following book, and fast too if he wants to avoid his fans showing up at his door!

The best book since the first one. In the last 3 months, I have purchased and read all of the Gone books. The first one was simply amazing, and I loved every second of it. The second was fine, a good book all in all. By the third, the formula was rather stale (things bad, Caine do something bad, things look a little better) the fourth book was a smudge better, but still not excellent. Enter this book. First of all, it felt far more original than the last three, and almost as good as the first. It answered several questions-and brought up new ones. I just loved this book, and cannot wait for the final one. If you think the books are going stale and are on the fence about this one, make the leap. You won't regret it.

Fantasic and epic!. This book truly was a delight through the whole reading. The descriptive imagery puts you in the character's shoes, feeling their struggles, their joy, and their pain. Honestly one of the best books in the series.

BEST BOOK EVER!!. Not only is this the best book in its series, but it is the best book I have ever read. Not one page went by that I made amazing discoveries, sometimes add of the characters themselves. This book has left me wanting, waiting breathlessly for more!! Can't wait for the next book to come out and discover what happens next to our beloved FAYZ survivors!

BEST Book EVER. Definitely the more inappropriate book for children but it was the best book of all the books I read.

F*#%ing EPIC. I've never in my life read a series as good or better then these! My best friend got me hooked to these books a good 8 months ago and I finished them a couple months back. Now I can't wait to hear what happens next with Sam, Astrid and the other kids!

Could not stop reading this book. Another great addition to a fantastic series. This book is a serious page turner and had me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole book. Would defiantly recommend this series to anyone who's interested in sci-fi and survival genres

Incredible!!!. OMG i love this book! There are so many twists and turns that you never expect whats going to happen. Though all the shocking events were amazing, i'm just glad Sam and Astrid worked it out.

Amazing!. Once I started reading this book, there was no way I could put it down. I read it within 12 hours. I have a huge headache, but it was well worth it.

The most squee-worthy, yet. The newest edition to the Gone series is gripping and terrifying. Michael Grant weaves hundreds of characters beautifully and commands the ever-changing plot with a firm hand. Relationships are taken to the next level, the evil steps up its game, and all the while, the darkness is a constant threat that must be faced, sooner or later. Gone fans, you will not be disappointed.

Thrilled. I am so excited for fear! I'm obsessed with this series and know the book will be great!

This series? Amazing!. I read a lot, and I have to say this is one of the best series I have ever, ever read! It always leaves me wanting more, and this book was no different! Fear. I have been reading these books since they came out and I can't stop reading them. I can't wait for the 6th book to come out! :) This is an amazing book that you need to read. Your mind will be blown forever!

The best so far!. Surprising events that have you on the edge of your seat! I read this in less than 4 hours of picking it up and it was truly amazing!

I Freaking God Worship Mr.Grant!!. Not only is this dude a good writer but the the plots of his story's are freaking amazing I really believe that Mr. Grant is one of the best Horror-Distopian Teen book writers out there he's really creative and always keeps me guessing. This is probably my second favorite maybe my first favorite book in the Gone series because this one is just so dang creative. the mysterious developments in little Pete's...... something.... maybe his spirt or essence are great because we are never quite sure how far his abilities reach or what exactly he is now. Also the change in the Dome at the end and the fate of Diana's baby are not ones I suspected( well I actually kinda speculated that the baby was screwed but I never speculated that it would be that screwed) but ya this book is a must read like you SERIOUSLY NEED TO GET IT NOW!!!

Fear by Michael Grant. Exciting book, but definitely not middle school age appropriate. Content included drugs, alcohol, sex, pregnancy, and murder.

AMAZING!. I have read all of the Gone books with amazing satisfaction! Each one is better then the last! I cannot wait for Light to come out. These are the kind of books that I read in class and ignore my teachers completely, the kind that you stay up till the early hours of the day just to see what happens next, the kind that you can't put down until you finish! With such vivid descriptions, and intense details I literally felt like I was surviving the FAYZ with my friends Sam, edilio, astrid, Caine (not a close friend), and everyone! The fight for survival isn't over and I cannot wait to see what happens next!

This series has no flaws!. Every book is simply better than the last!

I love the gone series!!. I love this series and this book certainly didn't disappoint when i came to reading this one!!! I think it would be amazing if they made these books into films they could get as big as harry potter or the hunger games!!! x

Good book, but dragged on.. I was really anticipating this book. I read the others,and I thought that this one was a must read. But in fact, I think these books have been decreasing in class ever since the first one, "Gone". This was a good read, certainly better than Plague, which I thought was a tad disappointing. I thought it had a clever plot, but I thought it dragged on a lot. It took too long to get to the climax. I also thought that Michael Grant perhaps overcomplicated the book; there was an awful lot to take in, albeit that's been the case in most of the "Gone" books. I think Michael Grant could also do with a bit of a change in the storyline. The bad guys have been the same people since day one, so there aren't a huge amount of surprises in "Fear". I thought also that in the parts of the book that dragged on, Grant filled those spaces with some content that just isn't that interesting, and you spend those moments thinking "For God's sake, when is it going to get to the good part?", which might cause a lack of interest at those points which might lead to the failure to notice an important detail in the plot. So overall, a very good book, the best "Gone" novel since "Hunger"; I thoroughly enjoyed it, but be prepared for a lot to take in when reading this; it's no Mr Men book.

BEST BOOK IN THE BEST SERIES EVER!. Don't read this book until you have read GONE,HUNGER, LIES and PLAUGE(in that order), cos you WILL NOT understand what is going on. Out of the books I have read(quite a lot) I have never read a book that ever compares to these books. They I cannot say enough how badly you must read the books. You can read them again and again and they are still amazing. I am only realising how funny they are (it is my 5th time reading them) They are good for about 11-15 year olds. I read them when I was 10 and I was to be honest- I was a bit young- I loved them but I was too young to get the humour and there is um... "Adult Stuff" in them. However, before you read them, stock up on Disney films! Some of the books are a bit depressing!

Make sure you read the series from the beginning and this is an amazing. don't normally buy books on my I-pad but I love these books they're just so well written. Amazing ***********

Amazing. I have never been a big reader. I’m good at it but I will only read if I find something really interesting and these books are that and so much more.

Great book to keep you reading. Enjoyed this book most of all out of the series so far. Plenty of action from characters that have now been well established.
