入伍因鳳凰颱風的攪局而延期,讓夜顯得更漫長,我從書架中十六本侯文詠的著作中拿起了「離島醫師」,一本他描述當兵時在澎湖當少尉醫官的著作。
張愛玲說過:「生命是一襲華美的衫子,爬滿了蝨子。」
我想這也是軍中最好的寫照了,而軍中某種程度上也是這著大社會的縮影。以前我在外面,只能看到華美的衫子,如今要去感受下那些聽聞已久的蝨子。我不知道侯醫官在軍中的當下,是否樂於周旋在他現今筆下的荒謬,不過這種樂天知命這正是我自認所缺乏的,需要學習的。就有如電影「美麗人生,Life is beautiful」中的主角,活在納粹迫害下的猶太人,還能為兒子創造美麗的童年回憶,軍旅生涯也許真的會讓我成長比我想像更多,端看看世界的角度。
有一天我會說著侯醫官的話:「從前從前曾經有過一個年代,我們都不怎麼滿意,卻又沒什麼好辦法。不過它已經過去,不會再回來。」
