Great start but fizzles out. I really enjoyed the first 16 or so chapters, it was a real page turner . However, after that I found it boring, highly predictable and found myself not caring. The protagonist become one of the biggest Mary Sues I have ever read. I'm sorry but there is nothing I hate more than a book that fizzles out. Perhaps this is just the errors of a new author. I won't be continuing with this series but I will keep a lookout if she releases a second series. I hope she can keep up momentum then.

Engaging. There are a number of twists in this story which keeps the reader interested. The author has a good writing style so that you are drawn into the story. I am enjoying the characters and am invested to find out more about them. This is certainly a story I recommend.
