Waging Heavy Peace. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. I love Neil's music, so took a chance on the book. He writes as if you are having a conversation with him & I loved that. It was great to find that he & I have a lot in common - that was a shock - from reading & loving "The Mists of Avalon" which has been made into a movie starring Julianna Margulies, to believing in The Goddess. And Orange Julius is alive & well in Snohomish County where I live.

Great!. Always wanted to know what Neil was like as a person, off stage. An intimate telling of stories of friends, family. A celebration of a blessed human life; struggles, successes, professional & personal yearnings etc... Thank you Neil!

Nonsensical. What a delusional, self important goober. I couldn’t get halfway through this book before I had to give up. Don’t waste your money. I only gave it 1 star because the app made me give a rating.

Five Stars. Wise, gracious, funny, insightful, self-effacing and told in a breezy, conversational voice. Long may you run, Mr. Neil Young.

A wonderful book - a work of art. This really is a remarkable book. A work of art. Admittedly I am a long time Neil Young fan - a fan of his music, his charitable work, his entrepreneurialism and his attitude/beliefs. I've consumed quite a bit of information about his life from other books and the occasional interview he grants. But this wonderful book was like having Neil over for dinner and listening to him tell stories for several hours. The writing style and organization was unconventional but hey, what would you expect from this artist? I really felt a connection to the author - a sign if a truly great book. Thanks Neil. A gift. You're a good man. I wish you continued success and happiness in your journey.

Waging Heavy Peace. Thought the book was far too rambling and never really got into the stories that would interest fans of Neil and the great accomplishments he did in the music world. Tell ya the truth , I couldn't care less about his obsessions with old cars and trains.over all I was disappointed and this grieves me cause I am a big fan of Neil Young and have been since the beginning.
