Renowned bone detective Bill Brockton and his intrepid assistant, Miranda, are about to get immersed in murder and intrigue in Avignon, France, home of the popes for most of the fourteenth century. Inspector René Descartes of the French National Police is roused from a deep sleep to investigate a break-in at the Petit Palais, Avignon's museum of medieval masterpieces. Descartes's discovery plunges him into an elaborate, art-lined labyrinth: a labyrinth that leads him to a master forger's studio . . . and to a charred corpse. Just as he's finally closing the case, Descartes gets called to an even more bizarre death scene, where his path—and his fate—will collide with those of Brockton and Miranda.

SHORT UNFINISHED STORY. DO NOT PURCHASE ONLY HALF OF TWO STORIES...I thought I was purchasing the complete book, but what I realized after getting engrossed in the storyline was I had been duped by Apple into purchasing a teaser sample, great story but I can't find the full book. Is it one book or two? Full disclosure would have been nice....

Madonna and corpse. I was disappointed as I assumed the detective would be meeting up with Brockton and Miranda. Instead you have two different sections with incomplete stories.
Madonna and corpse. I loved this book right up to the ending! The ending is completely disappointing.
Madona and Corpse. This book was not complete. It ended at e page 260(?). I don't know what you can do to get this fixed. I paid for the item but only got part of what I paid for...not too upset because I don't find it very good!
