An Aussie Welcome?. WOW!! All of the Neville Shute books I've read and loved never left me with quite the awe I experienced from "Heart of Thornton Creek." I not only recommend this for people to read, but I would suggest it as a book to delve into for guidance as well as entertainment. Bonnie Leon became a favored writer of mine from the first book of hers that I read ("To Love Anew"), but I enjoyed this book more than any other of hers I have enjoyed. Well written with a clean, wholesome story line which is evidenced through Christ-centered lives of the characters and God working in their situations.

Heart of Thornton Creek. Very interesting story. There were times when there seemed to be too much misogyny as well as racism in the writing but in retrospect it was simply true to the times and location. There was a hope set for better racial relationships in the future with the heroine. The reader could also see more freedom and appropriate liberties would be forthcoming. The Christian and basic biblical aspect was beautifully interwoven throughout the book. The strongest biblical aspect came at the end. The only fault I found was that the story seemed to end a bit abruptly with things falling into place too quickly while leaving the reader too many questions with unconfirmed answers.

All things are possible. Beautifully written and inspiring. Even in fiction God speaks to our hearts. All things are possible through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Knowing and doing. This story resonates with real live! We think we know what is right, we tell others we know what is right but sometimes we are only listening to part of what a God says and writing the rest of the story ourselves. This is a beautiful story of love, redeemed by God's grace.

Unbelievably amazing and eye opening. What a a startling plot line this had! I loved every bit and hung onto the words like they were handles. Character development and connections between minor and major characters was perfectly flawed. Especially the contrast, wow! At first, I thought lowly of this book, yet I was blown away by how it was expertly written. Well done, I'd say.
