Awesome!. I am only up to page 32 and have already had a psychological breakthrough that I have not been able to obtain on my own and through years of therapy and reading self-help books. There is something about reading your personal experience in a book about the life of another "patient" (like you) that helps you see something that you can't do otherwise. And Dr. Engler writes in a way that is not boring nor difficult to understand. I will be buying the hard copy version of this book for my therapist (and seeking Dr. Engler out for a session here in NYC). 5 well deserved stars for this book.
It was okay….. It’s a decent read, grateful for the insight and the stories I was just expecting more examples from actual clients. And I can totally see how her own relationships outside of work related to the story, it’s just for $11.99 I would have liked the book to be longer, more stores of the men and less of her personal story. But overall enlightening and kept me busy for a few hours.
