Awsome. First book down and looking forward to the second. Some say I may be a little to old for the series but so far I see myself buying the whole collection to pass down to my children and grandchildren.

How wonderful!. What a wonderful story! My baby is in the womb I was searching for the perfect book to read to my wife's tummy. That I can continue to read to him as a bed time story and found Ayla's story how perfect! Can't wait to follow her journey though the series

Aloha Ayla!. I loved this story! It's a quick and fun read, but full of comedy and adventure. And of course, it takes place in Hawai'i, so how could you not love it. Not only do we get the opportunity to appreciate the profound history of Hawaii, its language and mystical culture, but we are also asked to protect these sacred lands and pure seas from outside corruption! Superb - a breath of fresh Hawaiian air. This powerful book is a stunning dreamscape evocative of stories that I read as a child... It is refreshing to find new authors that can see where the current generation is going in their minds eye… I eagerly await the next installment of this book because the cliffhanger had me begging for more… I am sure to share this with my older children and have read it with my youngest (age 5) who is fascinated.

The story brings to life the magic of the Hawaiian islands and the Polynesian culture through the eyes of a adolescent girl at the threshold of womanhood. Her innocence makes the story so much richer. The illustrations and videos are top drawer as well. I can't wait for the next one.
