Loved it!. I adored this romance! I loved Jonas...smart, patient, intelligent, BLUNT and dedicated! And I loved Lydia’s character arc through out. Their relationship was compelling...I appreciated how her understanding of him changed as she realized her own flaws and unhandled trauma. It was such a beautiful story!

Great writing. Sweet story, good character development, witty. It's the second book I've read in this series and the two stories were only alike in that there were some shared characters and both were well done. Nothing formulaic in the plot, that so often happens in series where all the books are too similar. I look forward to reading the others.

Great series. December 2018 - 5 stars This book was amazing! So much emotion. I loved every part of it. I just had to bump it up to 5 stars. This is turning out to be one of my favorite historical romance series. ———————————— March 2015 - 4 stars Courtney Milan is a very talented author. I loved everything about this book. So much emotion was packed into this novella. I loved their relationship and how it progressed. Nothing felt rushed. Can't wait to start the next book.

The fellow is a bit of a jerk.. There are a couple places, early on, where genre constraints are leaned on a little: the male protagonist makes some comments that are excessively rude & exactly the sort of "just not good with people & too bluntly-spoken" that some dudes claim to be in a bad-faith excuse to harass. But this is a romance novella and the fellow really is blunt-spoken & it becomes part of his "basically cannot be deceptive, unlike the cad who broke the girl's heart" charm. He did get slapped for being too rude, and took a few punches from the girl later when she needed to vent, so actions do redeem him. He is not quite to my tastes, but I'm willing to accept he's to the female protagonist's tastes.

Midwinter Kiss. Not as good a story as the first book although I liked the Dr character the book lacked steamy romance, and adventure. I will buy the next book hoping for more to it.

Simply romantic.. This is the second book I read from this author. I admire her thorough research and author's note. This is why I originally like historical romance. You learn something, not just mere entertainment. I found it very rare for historical romance author these days who paid attention to historical details. Kudos to her for that! I started the series with Duchess War, which leads me to this book, A Kiss for Midwinter. It is sweet, romantic, simple, and warm without being sexually explicit. It's a good read. I love the dialogs between the hero and the heroine. Both characters have dimensions and personality. I read it 3 hours straight!

The truth shall set you free. This is a wonderful, emotional story about growing up and learning to trust again.

A kiss for midnight. Ebook Lovely story. A gruff blunt doctor loves a girl who hates him, because he knows she was secretly pregnant when she was only 15. She interprets everything he says or does in a negative light, but he maturely realises she associates him with the pain of that traumatic experience, and can't stop his attraction to her, so he sets out to change her mind. Sensitively written and very emotionally satisfying.

good. I really enjoyed reading this book. Really captures the time and sentiments. Loved the two main characters including all their quirks.
