Sexy And Intriguing. This book was a treat. For better or worse, it left little to the imagination when it came to the many erotic scenes that were dispersed through out the book. The plot moved along at a leisurely pace ensuring a complete picture. I literally felt like I was there, as Mia (main character) ate, I saw, smelled and tasted the delicious meals with her, as Mia was intimate with her beautiful lover, I felt like I was there with her, all my senses were completely engaged. The alien element was subtle because of how similar the alien civilization that was introduced is to ours. However, the amount of sci fi element in this book was satisfying, in this case, less is more applies. There's so much to look forward to, I cannot wait to get my eyes on the next book!

Fantastic book. This is a fantastic series. The characters are well developed. The dialogue is witty, real and interesting. Turned everyone in the office to read it!!! Juicy!

Amazing. From the 1st page to the last, this was enjoyable. Enough to make it erotic and romantic, just this much suspense to keep you on edge. If the next one(book) is as good, I will become a follower!

Loved it. I loved this book couldn't put it down. When Mia meets Korum in the park she never thought that her life would change for the worse. Korum started to control her every move to the point that he knew were she was and who she was with. When Mia met John from a Resistance group he told her their plans of taking back earth and sending the Krinars back to where they came from by using her help in getting information from Korum without his knowledge. After Mia did her part and she saw with her own eyes what happened she new that her life would be different from then on.

Wow just wow!. I totally fell for Mia and her K! This tory pulled m in and kept me there. A love story at heart and I can't wait to keep reading. Kudos to the author....keep on writing!!!! PLEASE!

Annoyingly pleasant. I've never met a female character that makes me hate a book and at the same mesmerize by it. She lacks curiosity if not guts. But all together not so bad of a book.

Great read. I enjoyed the plot. A lot of thought was put into the details. Sci Fi aspect of the story was great. It actually reminded me of a short story by Anne McCaffrey written decades ago. Some graphic sex scenes. I couldn't put the book down.

Hooked right from the start. I was hooked right from the start, and I didn't want to put the book down. The characters are likable, the whole premise of the story very intriguing, and the sex scenes are oh-so-believable and VERY... effective... for lack of better words.... I got caught up enough in the story that I wanted to tell Mia a thing or two about what she was doing and what I thought she should do instead. Can't wait to read the rest of the series!

Loved this book!. Loved this book! Great world-building, reads really easy, and a super-hot romance. Really good plot too, very unusual. Reminded me of 50 Shades b/c the hero seems very dominant/controlling and the heroine is young & inexperienced. It's not BDSM, but it has that feel to it, probably because of some of the bedroom scenes and the overall relationship dynamics. At times I hated the hero and other times I absolutely loved him. I didn't know if he was good or bad and that made for a very compelling read. It looks like there will be a sequel, although the main conflict gets resolved in the end of the book. I can't wait for book 2 to come out! This was a very well written book, I didn't find any errors at all. Highly recommend.

Eh. This book is basically "Fifty Shades of Grey" with a sci-fi theme. It is a good read though.

Wow just Wow!. Mrs. Anna has created a world that some fear may one day come true. Aliens taking over?!? Better than what I expected. I'm not into science fiction but thought what the heck, reviews said it was worth it. Man was it worth it! The sex/love scenes left me breathless at times. Of course now my husband is encouraging me to read more from Mrs. Anna and I can't wait to do just that. Thank you for this story and giving me a way to relax and get lost in another world ;)

Perfect picture perfect!. The Krinar is a perfect species than humans. They used survived on blood but now they take blood for recreational purposes since they altered their own genes! They amazingly advanced in terms of technology! Korum is amazing:the inventor and Mia is a strong woman who courageously stood against her foes like a pillar.

Fun & engaging story...won't be disappointed! I promise!!. Hard to find fiction books that are well written, engaging and entertaining! This book is all that & more!

Very nice. I started reading at night and I couldn't put it done all night until I was done. Every time I try to sleep, I was wondering what happened next so I went back to reading in few minutes, very addictive. When it comes to the guy I love him, I hate him, I don't now were I stand but I know I love the book so this morning I started the second book, so I can sleep tonight, hopefully :)

Hot Wonderful Read!!!!. I really loved the entire book and how it unfolds. It's dark and sexy. I vertainly didn't expect some of the things that happened. She explains how and why the Krinar are on Earth so amazingly that's its insanelt convincing. Close Liaisons is not a happily-ever-after ending type of book. The sex is well paced and dierect vs flowery. It fits perfectly with the characters and the world she created. The use of science in it is a bit of a mix of the real world anf future possibilities. Krinar technology is wickedly thought out! There's even a few small mentions of Vampires in this book. Not in the way we think of them. LOL. Well sorta, but you'll have to read the book to find out about it. =) It's HOT!

Fantastic adult read!. Welcome to a new Earth! A place where the Krinar have taken residence right along with the humans. A place where these ''aliens'' have taken on Earth as theirs. With their rules and their way of life. If you are lucky you may never encounter a Krinar and you can live in peace. This isn't the case for Mia Stalis. She was minding her own business while sitting on a park bench one day when Korum took notice of her. His interest in her is what turned her world upside down. With no choice but to follow along with all Korum has to say will she make the ultimate decision to help the human race on taking back their planet or has she fallen too deep with Korum? Mia Stalis is your young, naive woan in college. She still has strong attachments to her family and friends. When she comes across a strong, domineering, sometimes callous 'K' (Krinar are called K's) she has no experience in how to save herself from the world she's about to fall under. Tehre were times I wanted to scream at Mia for some her choices, but the author did such an amazing job in describing the situation as a ''NO WAY OUT'' situation. Makes you feel bad for Mia. Makes you dislike Korum. But it's really hard when the tenderness and love starts showing through between the two. It's almost close to a BDSM book where he is the dominant and she is the submissive. he's every definition of a dominant. Hard headed, possessive, bossy, and most times callous. What Korum wants, Korum gets. I can't say I like him fully. I can say I like the character and the way he was written. We have a powerful enemy that falls in love with our leading lady and we get very confliceted with our feelings for Mia...we stand behind her, we want to smack her, we root for her, we want her to blow up too. Lol. No really I love Mia. It's just that amazing way an author can write that rises all these emotions out of you. Anna Zaires has wrote a book that transfers emotion right into the reader from page to page. The sexual scenes in here are not for the weak. There is pain, passion, submission, domination, strong loss. I think I cringed every time. It was hard to like him as a person. As a villain, well that's a whole other story! He's a fantastically written ''villain.'' I think I secretly love him. I know I love to hate him. I know I love Anna Zaires for writing this story! i really, really want the sequel already! i love to read a book with a dark, edgy side. It's not always roses and sunshine. This whole idea has originality and it's refreshing to get a new vision on an ''alien'' take over! Awe-some job on creativity and imagination! If you enjoy paranormal romance with a big touch in the Sci-fi this book is for you! i give this book my thumbs up!

Krinar. This is a good book & I recommend it, but the vegetarian bs was infuriating. We have 100k years as hunter gatherers- less than 10,000 eating grains - Many societies much less. To make everyone healthy they would have gotten rid of junk food, SODAS, chemicals (nitrogen fertilizers for so many grains, for example). And the best thing they could do, besides get rid of petroleum for energy is reduce our world population. It's frustrating when authors put forth various weird agendas in paranormal novels. But the rest of the story was fairly good.

Must Read!. Wow...I am so caught up with Mia and Korum that I don't know what to say. For me, the best way to judge how much I liked a book is by the amount of laundry I have ignored in order to keep reading. Right now I have 3 mountains of clothes to fold! It's difficult to pinpoint this book b/c it is not a typical romantic suspense. Zaires did an excellent job of developing the characters. I completely understood Mia's conflicted feelings. I too was conflicted about Korum who is far from the typical H. I loved him one minute & couldn't stand him the next. I'm still not 100% sure of his true motives! I can't wait to get started on the next Mia/Korum alien adventure.

If your curious why people stay in abusive relationships then this is the book for you!. WARNING SPOILERS! . . . . I read this book through in the hope that either the guy would grow a soul or the girl would grow a pair! Sadly I was left disappointed on both counts. Doubly so considering the girl was supposed to be majoring in psychology. Surely someone who spent most of their lives learning about mental issues like abuse and brainwashing would recognize when it's being done to them! One of the worst stories I've suffered through!

Awesome read!. I'm minutes away from purchasing the second book in this series. Absolutely entertaining. I'm not much of a sic-fi romance person but this was very cleverly done. There are plenty of reviews so I feel no need to go into detail. But one reviewer implied that it wasn't an HEA. Perhaps not a typical, all wrapped up, pretty HEA but enough of one to continue on with the series. This is well written with only minor grammatical errors not caught in the editing process. The average reader wouldn't even take notice.

Love it!!. I read the 1st book in a day, had to buy the 2nd and read it in 1/2 a day.... LOVE it..... Can't wait for the next...

Great New Paranormal Romance!. Anna Zaire's first installment in the Krinar Series is a great new story about a very intelligent alien species with mystery, suspense, and love. The authors descriptions draw you in but leave you in a space of suspense, building tension, mystery and desire that grow gradually but delightfully. Mia's "capture" makes her challenge her belief in herself society and where her loyalties lie in the human race. Does she help the resistance and go against the man she is falling for. His dark hair and eyes, dark skin, and hard body. The authors descriptions make you want to be her, experiencing confusion, passion, and fear. Don't wait to get this first installment in a series that is bound to make you want more in all areas of life.

Close liaisons. It was an ok paranormal romance. According to previous reviews it was going to be a lot better then it was. They were definitely being very generous because I didn’t see were the story was that great. I don’t have any desire to read any others in the series.

Too much stockholm. I liked the first half and the plot seemed intriguing. But then the main character gets irrationally loyal to Koram even though he's practically emotionally abusing her. Lost interest very quickly after that.

Ah. Ah. I hate it when writers explain to much instead of building a world around their characters. So much talking- so much explaining. No attraction between the two main characters. Lost me at I want to F* you right now but that would be rape. .. if some guy talked to me like that I’d beat the living life out of them. Who do you think you are you creeper.

I enjoyed this book. I enjoyed this book so much that I am going to read again. The interaction between the two main characters was interesting and quite plausible. As relationships go, theirs was both dangerous and exciting. The author's thoughts on current social and environmental problems was certainly thought provoking for me. Many layers within this story.
