Must read SF series. First book in the best-selling David Weber Honor Harrington series. His writing only gets better and the plot more intriguing. My favorite series, I've recommended it to just about everyone and they've all gone on to read the 20 or so books that follow.

Awesome. It's like watching a fast, action movie. It grabs you and you can't look away.

Wished I found this sooner. Amazing writing! Immersive and thrilling. Honor Harrington is such an excellent character.

On Basilisk Station. The technical portions far overshadowed the story and characters. Resulting in lost of story for me and having to skip thru pages to get back to it.

Honest-to-Goodness Page Turner. I couldn't put this book down. Well paced with fantastic world-building and a remarkable legitimacy to its depiction of interstellar naval warfare and politics. Honor is one of the greatest lead characters in the entire genre.

Stellar. I’ve kept up with H. H. for years. Still love her story today. This book brought her into my life. When will the movies come out? Nick Furies secretary would be perfect.

Brilliant. If you like Spaceships and battles then you will love this

A really good read. An absolutely brilliant gem of hard sci-fi writing. Characters are engaging and the plot is not spoon fed and is instead driven by the plays and counter plays and logical choices characters make to try and realise their agendas. A lot of attention and effort goes into explaining the intricacies of the setting and I particularly like how it feels like an age of sail book with the perils of travel, the sanctuary of a ship far from land and the brutality of combat in such an environment but in a really well realised sci fi setting.

On Basilik Station. Webster is one of my favourite SF authors. Reminiscent of Heinlein, his space operas are thought out, meticulous and full of valiant heroes we cherish (Go Nimitz!). This, the first of his Honour Harrington books, is sure to please!

Seriously could not put it down. If I ever start writing sci-fi, I want to write like DW, wish he had more books because I can't get enough of this. Also highly recommend "In Fury Born".

Techno babble. Many, many words wasted on pseudo technology. Too few on telling the core story.
