Sorry To Say Goodbye To This Wonderful Series. I’ve really enjoyed Stefanie London’s Paws in the City series. I was thrilled to read August’s story, but disappointed it would be the last one. But what a way to end things! London has a wonderful ability to write characters that seem to come off the page and into your heart. August and Keaton were no exception. These two have a long history, but both are harboring heartache. August is ready to find “The One” but isn’t having any luck. Years ago she lost a chance with Keaton and hasn’t found anyone who can measure up to him. Keaton, meanwhile, is still mourning his late wife and has allowed his fear of losing those he loves to cut him off from others. Watching the two of them navigate their way to one another and their own happily ever after was so sweet. There is some seriousness to this one, with London treating the loss of a spouse with the respect it deserves. But there is a great deal of joy and laughter, too. Speaking of laughter, the antics of Molly the husky were such a fun addition. Her personality comes through so clearly and any dog lover will appreciate how realistically (and hilariously) she is portrayed. If you’re in the mood for a sweet, sexy rom-com with lots of heart and laughter, I would definitely recommend this one. And while the book stands on its own, I would also recommend checking out the other two in the series. Enjoy!

Cute end to the series. August Merriwether is the dog groomer to the Manhattan elite. Her business is booming, but per personal life is not. Her friends are all pairing up and she seems to only attract jerks on the dating apps. She has decided to go to a professional Matchmaker, but even these men don’t measure up to her first crush, Keaton Sax. Keaton is August’s best friend’s Leah’s brother. Keaton is a widower who has shut off everything in his life except his work and family. He is known as the “Wall Street Whiz Kid,” but has been questioning the tactics used by his firm. When his sister has an MS flare up, she asks him to take her Husky to an animal social media influencer competition. Since Keaton and her Husky Molly aren’t on the best of terms, he asks August to help him out. When they get to the location, of course, there is only one room with one bed. This is a really touching story, and both protagonists are good, likable people. While Keaton appears to be “grumpy,” he is a good person who really loves his family, and is terrified of opening his heart up after the death of his wife. Overall, this is a really nice way to end this series. I received an arc of this book from NetGalley and the publisher, for my honest review.

Definite winner.. Excellent addition to this series. Loved the interaction between Molly and her “underling’s”, made the story fun, laughed out loud in several places. There were a couple of spots that made me question the story line and it was long in places, but all worked out. A definite winner, do not miss this one.

Great book!. This book was a great way to end a fun series. We met August in the previous books, she was the dog groomer that worked with and was friends with Isla and Scout. Who I am happy to say we get to see in this book also. August has been in love with her best friend’s older brother, Keaton, since she first met him at a teenager but it wasn’t meant to be back then. August’s best friend is supposed to take her dog to a social media documentary filming tryout but can’t make it and asks Keaton to take her dog, Molly. Keaton asks August to help out because Molly (a husky) does not like Keaton and makes these thoughts known. Normally in books a pet is just a pet but in this book Molly is a character and a hilarious one at that. She gets her thoughts across by the look on her face :P. Keaton and August have chemistry together but Keaton is still getting over the death of his wife, even though it has been several years. Keaton basically walled off himself from being hurt again but getting away from work and having some time alone with August (and Molly, lol) makes him realize he is lonely but he isn’t sure what to do about it because he doesn’t want to be hurt again. This was a wonderful book and I really enjoyed Keaton and August as a friends and a couple.
