Great book. Amazing story about life, growing up, and keeping secrets that haunt you.

Loved!!!!!. My Review: Loved!!!!! This was not my first rodeo with this author and it won’t certainly be my last. This was a short and very fast paced read that was so enjoyable to me. It felt like I was watching a movie unfold right before my eyes. I couldn’t get enough of it and raced through each chapter so I could find out what had happened. Now let’s talk about why I enjoyed this book so much. First, let’s talk characters. Every character worked perfectly with this story to make this a wonderful book. There was not one character that was out of place or that didn’t make sense. Each character had a purpose and each did their job to make the story captivating. I also loved how the book was written. This author wrote part of each chapter in the present and part of the chapter in the past. This really made the story for me as you were able to see what was happening now and compare to what had happen back then. It made the story run so smoothly by doing this. Lastly, my favorite of every book, the ending. I’m still shocked and speechless. I didn’t have a clue. I’m like what and really. When an author can do this then they deserve all the hearts I can give them. This book did not disappoint and I will be reading more of this authors works in the future. In conclusion, the plot, the characters and all the twists in this book made this book an enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Loved it!. It’s taken twenty years to discover the truth This was a great read that I throughly enjoyed. I was hooked from the start wanting to know what happened to Kathi Jo, as Lynch took us from the present back to the past through Willow’s perspective. It was through these chapters we slowly learned of the events that lead to Kathi Jo’s disappearance. Lynch did a wonderfull job setting the scene and bringing it all to life and as it all unraveled what I didn’t expect was to be left with a feeling of sadness. It really got under my skin and had an impact on me. Beautifully written with a cast of memorable characters, I highly recommended checking this one out.

Suspenseful & Thrilling. The Summer She Disappeared is a thrilling read that oscillates between the past and present of Willow Roberts. After her divorce, she finds herself back in the lake house she inherited from her parents, which was a nucleus of memories of multiple summer holidays until it became painful with the disappearance of her best friend, Kathi Jo. The Yaays: Carissa Ann Lynch has seamlessly navigated multiple traits and characters into this simple plot. Each character is presented well; early on, readers will get an idea of their intentions and behaviours. Willow Roberts has her head on her shoulders, and reading how she navigates her teenage years was immersive. The rollercoaster of emotions, the addictiveness of rebelling, growing up and dealing with changes was well done. The pacing is another yaay, and it is effortless to understand even though we travel through time. The Nays: Some additional facts seemed unnecessary for the characters. The culprit wasn't too thinly veiled, and it was easy to suspect who it was. Final Verdict: If you're a fan of a quick, straightforward thriller with various characters, do not skip this one.
