The Two Week Roommate by Roxie Noir Book Summary

We used to be best friends. Now we’re snowed in together. There are probably worse things than being stuck in a remote cabin with the rugged-yet-grumpy forest ranger who saved my life in a blizzard. Getting mauled by a bear, for example, though I might prefer that to eating breakfast with Gideon Bell, the guy who nearly ruined my life when we were kids. It was twenty years ago. We haven’t spoken since. Our families still hate each other, and our lives are completely different. I’m not sure we’ve got anything in common besides childhood memories. But when it’s just the two of us for a couple of weeks, none of that really matters. What matters is the way Gideon grumbles, but makes my tea exactly the way I like it. What matters is how he always gives me the spot on the couch closest to the fireplace. What matters is how he looks at me when he thinks I’m not paying attention. And those childhood memories? He’s in all my favorites. Up here, in the cabin, it’s easy to look past all that because it feels so good to kiss him. It’s easy to spend a wild night in front of the fireplace and wake up still wrapped together. But back in the real world, where everything that drove us apart is still alive and kicking? It’s a lot harder. Can Gideon and I fix what broke twenty years ago, or does what happens in the cabin have to stay in the cabin? The Two Week Roommate is the second book in the Wildwood Society series, and can be read as a total standalone. It's for fans of high heat forced proximity romantic comedies, and features childhood friends-to-enemies-to-lovers who get snowed in together, a quirky, charming small town, a grumpy former military hero, a sunshine heroine who melts his heart, and plenty of steamy scenes. Of course, there's an HEA.

So good!!. Another great, must read from Roxie Noir! This one hits on some serious topics, but as always, Roxie Noir writes it respectfully. While it hits on serious topics there will always be humor. The humor in this book was chef's-kiss hilarious. Gideon and Andi have an extremely complicated relationship, but a forced proximity can do wonders... Loved book 2 so much!! Can't wait for book 3. Definitely read this series!

Snowed in and eaten out. eviewed in the United States on September 1, 2023 I loved Gideon and Andi’s story. It was sweet, funny and quirky. These two were best friends when they were little and were from two different type of families. When Andi and her family left, Gideon had the biggest case of the guilts. Twenty years later they are back in each others lives when Gideon has to save Andi during a blizzard. They are holed up in a cabin and get to know each other again. Sone of his family are bigots and hateful people who don’t want them together, no matter what Gideon tells them. I love how he fights for Andi and his love for her. I commend Andi on how she handled his jacka** family members. There were times I wanted to smack them right across their smug self righteous faces. 🤣🤣 These two were totally meant to be together. They fit together like two puzzle pieces. I loved their story and Gideon was so great and sweet. Andi was loud (in a good way) and just a fun fun person. I love this series and can’t wait for the next one. Roxie is doing a fabulous job with this series and I love seeing familiar faces.

He’s grumpy. Thoroughly enjoyed. Gideon is grumpy when he has to rescue a girl chained to a tree in a snowstorm. Turns out, it’s his childhood best friend who is overly sunshine (it got a little tedious). They had a major falling out and it’s been twenty years. Now, they are stuck together in a cabin during a snowstorm. I adored Gideon (who has eleven siblings!). We need more Gideons, please. Recommend.

A definite must read!. What was suppose to be a way of making friends turns out differently when their past comes alive in this newest release that doesn’t disappoint. Andi and Gideon were childhood friends but it ended when family got complicated. He wasn’t expecting Andi but when he finds himself rescuing her it seems like it was meant to be. As they find themselves stuck in the cabin and are forced to remember the past, it was entertaining to see them painstakingly reconnects. I love the awkwardness that surrounds the characters in a good way that makes them so relatable. This was an entertaining addition to the Wildwood Society and I can’t wait for more.

Snowed In and Eaten Ou. I received a free ARC in exchange for an honest review. My honest review is that I absolutely loved this book. I really love Andi and Gideon. Their banter was so cute and they fit so well together. I loved the this book tackled things like religious trauma, male virginity, and trans and homophobia. You don’t usually see that in romcoms, and I adored watching Gideon defend his trans brother and Andi. I was worried that they entire book was the two week period were they were stuck in the cabin and was concerned that it would be too stretched out. But it was nicely paced in and out of the cabin. I did think the the ending was a little anticlimactic. I'm glad they dealt with and cut off Gideon’s horrible family, but the pay off didn’t feel l as satisfying as I hoped. I still was so happy for the epilogue and seeing Reid being accepted for who he is <3 I can’t wait to read the rest of The Wildwood Society series. They just keep getting better and better.
