5 Stars for The Five Star Weekend. Fabulously written. My absolute favorite book of all Elin Hilderbrand.

Enjoyed it. I wasn’t sure at first, then wound up enjoying the characters and story lines as much as I always do with Elgin’s books.

Worth the wait!. So sad I already finished it! As always, Elin’s descriptions of the characters, Nantucket, and the food truly transport you. This is one of my favorite books I have read in a while. It makes you contemplate the important relationships in life and helps you stop and remember that everyone is going through something. It also makes you crave lobster rolls and a beer on the beach. A perfect summer read.

Meh. Not nearly as good as Hotel Nantucket. The characters were too whiny and annoying to me.

Perfect summer read. Great book!

Amazing writing.. I felt as if I knew each one of the women from past friendships and experiences. The author makes her books feel so real. I love the directions she takes her characters and the strengths she sees in each one. And of course, the fun and joy of ‘being along for the ride’!

Another summer love!!!. EH is sooooooo good!!! I look forward to each new book and this one did not fail! The story is delightful in every way! The characters are fun and quirky and a lot like people we all have in our lives. Friendship is a theme EH knows and writes to perfection.

Awesome. A perfect blend of great character development and great timing of the character development, interwoven with a great assortment of wonderful food recipes, therefore a wonderful mix of fiction and nonfiction.

Great Summer read. I’m never disappointed by Elin Hildebrande books. This is no exception. It was enjoyable from beginning to end and hard to put down. A great summer read.

Soap opera relationship drama done tastefully. This is a great summer read. There is a lot of relationship drama, so this might bother some people. The descriptions of home decor, Nantucket scenery and fabulous food are wonderful as usual.

Predictable. I had a hard time getting connected to the characters and the emotional connection I usually have to her books was lacking for me. I got through it, but sadly wasn’t soon enough.

Did not receive whole book after paid. Paid for book to read and only received 39 pages. Book is 400 pages.

Great Read!. By far, one of my favorite books from this author. Characters were well written. Yes, I could see the twist coming, but it was amazingly told. I couldn’t put it down.

Disappointing. It was a very enjoyable read until the personality transformation overnight of Brook. Just because someone realizes that they are gay, it doesn’t immediately change their personality and even eating habits. Honestly! As my daughter would say, “Get real!”

MUST READ!!!. Elin doesn’t disappoint with this book. I cannot wait to go to Nantucket next week.

Totally predictable. I have read several of her books and this was not up to her usual standard. It was very much like one of the “Real Housewives “ tv shows which she actually mentions in the book. Perhaps that was her goal and I missed the message.

The Five Star Weekend. I have read every single one of Elin Hildebrand’s books and absolutely loved the all. The Five Star Weekend blew them all away! I never wanted it to end. Her best one yet!

LOVE!!. Elin did it again! This book was fabulous! I’m never disappointed in anything she writes!

Fluffy, skimmable. fluffy, sometimes entertaining sometimes have to skim.

Must read!. This is the first of Elin Hilderbrand's books I have read and I'm so glad I did! The setting in Nantucket was exactly what I was looking for as a quick summer escape read. The characters were so interesting in their own lives and I love how she brought all of them together. I just purchased another one her books and I won't stop till I've read them all, I love her style!

Enjoyable. I loved the premise of the book. Made me think who I would invite to a five star weekend. A tad predictable, but overall enjoyed the book. Friendships are important, but they ebb and tide, but having lost my own husband unexpectedly, I wouldn’t be where I am today without my girlfriends. Friends from the past and new friends who are now like old friends. Nice read.

5 STAR WEEKEND. I have read many of her books but this one was a disappointment. Not much character development and very superficial, gossipy, whining characters and no significant issues. One of my favorite authors so I will try again.

Bravo. Awesome book! So sad the Nantucket books are ending. You’ve taken me away many times and I appreciate it. You’ve made me know and feel the Island of Nantucket and I’ve never been. Some day,,,,

A great “lay in the hammock” summer read.. Loved the premise of this book. The thought of bringing together four people from the various decades of your life sounds intriguing and frightening all at once. A great read. Would recommend to anyone in the mood for an emotion packed, and heartfelt story.
