wow. I have never read a Penelope Douglas book before and decided to make this one my first one. All I can say is it didn’t disappoint. For a forbidden romance it hit all the points for me. It’s a boyfriends father. So a pretty decent age gap. Jordan is 19 and Pike is not quite 40 yet. He was a young father when he had his son Cole. When they first meet they have no clue who each other are. But it turns out the hot older guy she met at the movies one night is her boyfriends father. Then when her and Cole move in Pikes house together the tension is crazy. It’s very obvious that Cole is not meant for her. They just don’t click the way a boyfriend and girlfriend should. But Pike and her have an unspoken connection. even though he is literally old enough to be her dad, they have so much in common. It’s a slow burn and let me tell you when it finally happens it was everything I hoped it could be. Like I can’t hold back anymore and need you now. I thought Pike was such a well written character and mmc. He was a young father and was so relatable to anyone in their 40’s or almost 40. He loves his son and wishes he was closer to him. The torture and tension he had in being attracted to his own son’s girlfriend hits hard. He can see that Cole doesn’t truly appreciate what he has. And being jealous of your own son can not be easy. It’s important to point out that when something happens between them Finally, she and the son are no longer dating. So no cheating, other then a crazy attraction right from the get go and a lot of s*xual tension. This definitely won’t be my last Penelope Douglas book

Enjoyable. I loved reading this, the tension, the build up, the ending... This is the first one I've read by Penelope, but it won't be the last.
