Adventure, tension-building, romance, mythology- what more do you need?. WOW!!! So, I was not expecting this book to go where it did. The first few pages had me curious enough to know this was going to be one I would finish, just to see where it was going. In true Nicole Bailey fashion, I was hooked and fully immersed in the worlds of Apollo and Prince Hyacinth. Two separate worlds, somewhat on the same earth, but as Apollo is a god, his world is also supposed to be up amongst the deities. "Supposed to" being a key phrase. A looser tale around mythology that I really enjoyed. The characters are not strictly the Apollo or Hyacinth we have been introduced to through more classical literature which I found quite fun. I loved getting to know and be surprised by the fleshing out of the main characters. LGBTQ+ friendly, enemies-to-lovers, slow burn romance that is fiery and passionate, gentle and sweet. Can’t forget the pesky little sisters who are a big part of the story as well. Especially in the last chapter (WHAT was that cliffhanger?!?!)! Definitely a book you want to finish and will leave you groaning that the second one isn’t already out to devour! I love Bailey’s attention to detail and the way her words can weave a world you can almost see, touch, hear, smell, and taste. She is one of my favorite authors because I can so quickly lose myself in a new world of her creation. Reading is a joy and an escape for me and this series is proving to be one I am going to enjoy traveling off to from the comfort of my couch and cozy blanket over and over.

I liked this story!. The writer assumes the reader may possess more knowledge of Greek Mythology than I think anyone actually has. However, I imagined the characters and environments in my own way and just rolled over the familial relationships that didn’t quite make sense to me. In all, this is a fantastic book and I’m soooooo glad there’s more than one. Hopefully, the love of these two characters is tested, pushed, and expanded in the coming pages.

Amazing !!!!. I can’t wait to read the next books. I’ve always been scared of my sexuality because of the stigma around it. Learned that Ancient Greek gods had same sex love stories just proves that it’s LGBTQ+ people have been around since the e beginning. Thank you Nicole !!!
