Literally shaped my childhood. This was such a well written book that not only told a story but kept me interested the whole time. This is the book that got me into reading so many years ago!

As good (if not better) than the Hunger Games!!!. This book is a wonderfully written masterpiece!!! I found myself completely absorbed in the book and could not stop! I am amazed at myself actually enjoying the huge, talking creepy crawlies! It starts off a little bit on the dull side and then blossoms into an action packed, suspenseful, witty and enticing novel! If I could, I would give it a hundred stars!!!

Could read over and over. Amazing characters and stellar writing. Definitely a moving series to read-the quality and plot of the books does not decrease through the series!

Book will become a classic. I read this book a few years ago after reading the hunger games because I thought the title was interesting. I immediately fell in love with Gregors world. The plot is unpredictable and the character development is unbelievable. Upon beginning Gregors tale you are immediately taken to his world. Perfect book for all, young and old alike, will be absorbed into the world of 11-year-old Gregor.

My 9 year old son loved this book!. I read this book about 10+years ago and I didn’t remember much. It was great to read all over again. This time I read it with my son. It was an awesome book, filled with adventure and I’m sure we’ll be reading The Prophecy of Bane next😊

Excellent read!. Even at 55 years old these "young adult" stories still fascinate and take me to another world. This book was no exception. It has a well thought out storyline, extremely detailed and very descriptive. I will definitely be getting the next book in the series. This author writes very like L. Frank Baum, THE best at otherworld adventures.

READ THESE BOOKS. These books.... I can’t even say how much I love them. I’ve read them all about 1000 times and I’ve NEVER gotten sick of them. It has twists and turns like Ares wings. It has violence like Gregor’s sword. You NEED to read them. It’s life changing.

I LOVE IT MORE THAN LOVE!. The Underland Chronicles is One of the best series to read if you are 9-12. I’ve got to admit if I never found this book I would have never found true happiness in books.

It was my introduction into dystopian/YA novels. 11 year old me loveddd this series and I would probably still love it if I reread it. 100% recommend. Amazing character development and unpredictable plot. Great way to kickstart kids’ interest in independent reading
