The Captain is a man of many secrets, but one holds the key to his ability to travel through time. Is he ready to sacrifice this long held secret to Clara? And if he does, will he jeopardize his wellbeing, along with everyone else’s, in doing so. Clara and the Captain find themselves in 1906 San Francisco to visit the Captains good friend Tesla. In a twist of fate they find themselves at the Waterfront where Clara comes face to face with the reality of time travel. We join Clara and the Captain as they are swallowed by a sandstorm that threatens their expedition. With the passing of the storm Dr. Carter unearths a mysterious temple. They explore deep within its dark passageways. What mysteries lie beneath the Egyptian dessert? Full Moon An enchanted evening awaits Clara on the Drake. The Captain has pulled out all the stops for her eighteenth birthday. But Clara can’t shake the feeling that her Grammie knows her secret. The evening with the Captain quickly pushes those thoughts out of her head as the electricity of his embrace rushes through her. But this enchanted evening can’t last forever. Clara is snatched from the deck of the Drake and thrust into the iciness of time travel. A dark and sinister being is waiting for her. Can she free herself from its grasp or will she be trapped in the darkness forever? With echoes of the dark thing still ringing in her ears, Clara and the Captain travel to Charleston, NC to attend a mid-night ball hosted at one of the most prestigious estates in town. Clara is mistaken for the daughter of the newly elected president of the confederacy, which causes many interesting situations to occur. But not everything is at it seems with Mr. Pettygrove, the host of the evening. When Clara takes it upon herself to find out his true motives she quickly loses control of the situation and finds herself in a position she is not equipped to handle. The Captain sweeps Clara off to the sun baked desert of Egypt on a quest for a mysterious treasure. They were met at the first oasis by Clive, the Captains faithful friend and servant. Together they must overcome the trials of the desert while following the clues of an ancient map, and that is just the beginning. They must endure spitting camels, harsh environs, and all that slithers in the desert, before delving into the unknown of an ancient temple. Down in the darkness of the temple, with only their torches to light the way, the trio must traverse the passageways and follow the cryptic clues of the map. What they find is completely unexpected and has an unforeseen effect on Clara. Clara receives a much wanted but unexpected gift from the Captain in the wings of a concert hall. Her mind is filled with the thoughts of what could be and excitement. With her heart racing and blood rushing to her cheeks, the thoughts of the dark thing that haunt her are shoved to the remote corners of her mind, where it belongs. But is Clara able to make this decision of a life time? And at what cost to herself, and to those she loves, because the dark thing is always waiting.
