Soul, Love, Music.... ...in that order. I've always liked Santana. Now, I think he'd be the one celebrity I'd most like to invite for dinner. Extremely driven by what connects humans to one another and endlessly in pursuit of evcellence, Carlos' story here is one of grace and thankfulness.
Fitting. This book was a journey of note for me. I was in SF in ‘67 & ‘68 on my own musical and spiritual quest. Mr. Santana reminded me of highlights I had forgotten about. And crystallized my knowingness on the nuances of certain musicians that elevate them as they reach deeply into our hearts. A very spiritual and honest book. Thank him for sharing his life.
Universal Tone. Lovely memoir from Carlos Santana. I couldn't read a chapter without revisiting my own spiritual path, which is refreshing in a Rock & Roll bio. I love his playing. Each note and each phrase Carlos plays is imbued with spirit. For me, this story was an interesting elaboration on the bewitching introduction he plays on Black Magic Woman.
