The Red Winter by Henry H. Neff Book Summary

An inventive and action-packed mix of fantasy, science fiction, and mythology, all in a realistic contemporary setting.

Rowan has won a battle, but not the war. With proper allies, Rowan’s armies could storm the demon stronghold, capture its ruler, and end the reign of demonkind. But while nations clash, a greater struggle lies elsewhere. In his desperate pursuit of Astaroth, Elias Bram scours the world for clues to the fiend’s true origins, identity, and purpose. His horrifying discoveries hint that not only is humanity at risk, but the earth itself. Its fate may depend upon three children. With their unmatchable skills, it’s up to Max McDaniels, David Menlo, and little Mina to tip the balance!
In the Tapestry’s final volume, Henry H. Neff concludes an unforgettable series in which magic can live, gods can die, and the highest stakes require the greatest sacrifice.

Amazing Book and Series. The series is epic on its scale and the world it takes place in is fantastic and interesting. The incorporation of celtic mythology into the story is interesting and new. This final bookl in the series is great and I hope to see it in hardcover or paperback someday.

10/10. Best book ever, would read again

Awesome. Best book EVER I loved every part of it. This guy can write a great story.

The Red Winter. Very well done. I was curious about the Tapestry after reading Imperium first. Now it all makes sense. Imperium stands on its own very well but the references to a previous life made me want to know more. I'm a 62 year old dude and I was very emotional at the close. A long journey, filled with exciting adventures, warm and lasting friendships, and fierce conflict. I am looking forward to what comes next. I miss Max. Very well done Mr. Neff. Thank you.

Loved it. I love the series and am depressed now that it's over and Max basically died so sad

The Red Winter. This book is great, dramatic, but has a rather unanticipated, melodramatic ending. You can really visualize a lot of scenes, plus there are some interesting things created by Astaroth. There are many casualties that saddened me in the war. Also, I don't like a couple of decisions that the main characters make. Overall, I give this book a 4 and 1/2, but that wasn't an option that I could choose. Thanks for the series, H.H.N.

Absolutely incredible series.. I stumbled upon this series by accident but it quickly became one of my favorite. The author worked absolute wonders and made it so hard to put the book down. The way he linked several mythologies and even made some of his own, as well as the unique characters he created made this book 110% worth the read. I am simply sad that the series had to end. The best thing was that the books seemed to grow up with me. I first started the series in 8th grade and the series seemed to be centered at a younger audience but I am now almost 21 reading this is and it was pleasantly shocking when the story took its dark turn and the more or less innocent Max experiences growing up and dealing with love and loss as well as the dystopia that the world has become. I sincerely hope this series continues and enjoyed reading it so much. Thank you Henry. H. Neff

The red winter. This is a beautiful ending to a wonderful series. Thank you for the ride Scott. It had it's ups and downs but now it's finally over. The storyline is finished and I have to say that I'm completely and utterly satisfied. Thanks for the great book. It was great!

Read all of these books. This is the only series of books that made me cry at the end. I have never been as invested in characters in a book as much as I was for Max and Co. The Red Winter is simultaneously the most action packed and most emotional of the entire series, and because of that I think it is the perfect end cap for the Tapestry. 10/10

Amazing book. The red winter will have you gripped and leaving you wonder what comes next. Fantastic end and great way to end a book series. Ties up all questions in the book.

Reread again and again. I’ve read this whole series at least a dozen times. This book closes it out so satisfyingly and smoothly that you may not even notice tiny loose ends being tied up here and there. My favorite is the identity of the twins at the very end. One of my top series of all time.

Amazing. I have read all of the books in the series and I have to say that this is one of the best series I have ever read. The only sad thing is that it is a lesser known book. I really loved how even until the end the book was unpredictable and interesting.

It’s over.. Thank you. For this journey and it’s conclusion.

Loved it! Tearfully wonderful finale.. I laughed, I cried, I cheered my heroes on. One of my new favorite book series ever written and I have my best friend to thank for that. This is why I still love garage sales. You never know what kinds of treasures you might find. Looking forward to to the next series! ;)

Red winter. Cool book for kids and adults

The Tapestry. Series was absolutely amazing, definitely a must read to fans of fiction and fantasy.

Wonderful conclusion. And I wished it didn't have to end. Henry Neff is an author who honors the story and not his own ideas of fame. It would be tempting to continue the story, to draw it out for the sake of keeping it going, but it would have ruined the essence of the story. While I'm sad it's done, it was perfect. Left me wanting more. The plot is fast moving, complex yet easy to keep up with, the characters are constant, yet developing over time. I'm sure I'll be reading this series again.... soon.
