What happened here???. My iBook app converts this book to 680 pages, 105 of those pages was entirely about nat digging herself out and putting herself back together. The whole book seems like "fluff". Like the author was just trying to stretch out a short story into a book. Very disappointing follow up to such a great first book.

Death Embraces. J.C. Diem Y. Death Embraces 6/10 I bought this because I enjoyed the first book of the series. Sadly, this one wasn’t as good. The writing seemed like a first draft in places. The story line and actions seemed a bit ridiculous. The emotional elements were lacking. There was too much darkness in the content. I nearly didn’t bother finishing reading it.

Loving it!!. It’s getting goooooddd 😂👍 Bit slow at the start of the book with putting body back together but other than that it seems like it’s building for something big in the books to come. This is a 9 book series..

LOVING 🥰 IT. This book was a little slow but enjoyed nonetheless. Love Natalie and emperor’s relationship, hilarious 😂. Also her discovering more of her powers love ❤️ it.

Good Read??. About 200 pages on collecting body parts in a cemetery......... I was skipping pages to get to the point a lot of the time. The thing that kept me reading was the story and waiting for something big to happen, guess I missed it, must be in the next book? Pretty disappointed , loved the martial art teaching chapter with the heart breaking killing but that's where my positives stop .. Needs editing I think??

Great!. It was an amazing book and much more exciting then the first one! Throughout the book I felt so many things excitement, happiness, and sadness. This was a really really great book and Id love to give plenty of spoilers but as a book expressive reader id say seriously if you liked the first book get the second book without a second thought. It worth the 3.99!!

Surprisingly a great read.. Enjoyed the main characters wit and perspective. I found it funny and hard to put down. Writing this as I’m about to purchase the second book. Really a fan of book series as there is nothing better than a good story that does not end right away. Looks like I’ve just found a new one to add to my list. Great work J.C.
