Cute and fun. So I saw the movie when it came out and liked it. I thought it was fun and enjoyable. However, because I watched it, I didn’t think i would enjoy reading the book after, considering I already know what happens. I was very thankful to be wrong, and me liking it when I expected to be disappointed made it that much better. I thought because I’m now twenty three years old, it wouldn’t be mature enough for me. But I found myself relating a lot to Simon and Bram’s feelings. And although Simons coming out wasn’t on his terms, it still ended up being magical and Disney, like but still maintains a good level of realism. The one thing that was left unresolved in my opinion was the situation with Marty, I feel that should been fleshed out more than it was. But other than that, its a good read and made for a good movie.

Absolutely love this. Highly recommend it.

I love it!!!. I read this book and felt in love with it. Is better than the movie “Love, Simon” and the movie is amazing!!!

And if that isn’t “bad enough”he’s coming to the realization that it’s time he came out of the closet, in part because of his online friend,Blue. They challenge each other. They support each other. But, have they figured out who each other is? This is a wonderful book. I’m 61 years old, obviously not Albertalli’s audience. When I was confronted with this issue, my immediate family was not as accepting as Simon’s is. It is so nice to see that, at least in Simon’s case, it was much easier....weeeelll, he is 3 generations removed and one would think this could be seen as a “non issue” these days if kids weren’t so cruel with things they don’t understand. ... oh, and this is one of those “I’ll never see the movie” because the book is so good. Highly recommended 5/5

A perfect depiction of the struggles of teenage life and coming out. This book made me fall in love with every word written, and I could not put it down. This book is a must read for everyone. Parents should read it, especially those trying to process the fact that their child is lgbt+. Nobody should ignore the power this book has. It teaches people to accept and love and support people who are not what everyone wants them to be. Simply put: Sensational 🏳️‍🌈

Pride ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜. I LOVE this book. I decided to read it before I went to go see Love Simon. It’s amazing that a book/movie about the lgbt+ community can become so popular. This book is hilarious, is exacting, and has a really adorable romance story. I literally could not put it down I would totally recommend it.

An Oreo-Heart Explosion!. Honest to God one of the best books I’ve ever read. Mostly due to the fact that I’ve never really identified with characters from a book so much as I did with the characters of this fantastic novel. The story is current, fresh, and completely, unapologetically heartwarming. I wish everyday of my life was a page ripped out of this book. Your heart will explode into crushed Oreos when the identity of Blue is finally revealed. Thank you Becky Albertalli!

My favorite book. This book is my favorite for the past couple of years now. The movie was great, but the book is amazing.

So slow.... The book took forever to get interesting and wasn’t worth the read. The topics introduced throughout are deserving of a better representation in a more compelling novel.

My Favorite Book of all Time. Simon vs the Homo sapient Agenda is the best book I have ever read. It’s perfect in every way!!!!! 🌈

One of My Favorites. I read this book about a month ago, and all I knew that it was a gay love story. I didn’t know who the characters were, except that two boys email and end up falling in love. I am obsessed with this book. Becky Albertalli’s writing is so beautiful, and captures so many emotions. You can’t not root for Simon to find Blue, and you most likely will cry for him because of some of the struggles he overcame throughout the book. It’s definitely the kind of story where someone might not expect much from the just a basic love story, but it is so much more than that. The dialogue, the character development, and the emails from Blue and Simon are what make this book so unique. It tells a great love story, and still gives funny and genuine moments to make it even more of an enjoyable book. I think this was one of the best and possibly my favorite book I read in 2019. I will definitely watch the movie adaptation Love, Simon, and I cannot wait to see how these amazing actors and actresses interpret the characters who I have fallen in love with. One of the best coming of age books I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading, and would highly recommend.

Why did it end. I didn’t want this fast pace, awesome read to end!!! Can’t wait to read the sequel

Amazing. I own this book, but needed to say how AWESOME this book is, it is perfect for the gay or the straight, Albertalli really nails the essence of romance and attraction in this book! I have probably read and re-read this book about 30 times (and counting)! That is how AWESOME it is! To All Homophobes:. This book is amazing and whether you like it or not, there are going to be gay people out there. It’s who we are. It’s not a bad thing, as someone who rated this book 1 Star put it, rather, a good thing. This world needs a little bit more diversity, so we are here just to do that. We know some people believe gay=bad, but that isn’t true. Now onto the book. The book was absolutely beautiful and amazing, bringing in a quality story and characters so deep I can imagine them sitting next to me. It is a work of art. This book helped me come out to my family and friends, and I hope it will do the same for you, even if it helps you be more sure and secure in your straightness. The gay community loves all. Literally.

RE: A Great Time. I couldn’t resist the style for the title, nor could I y’all myself out of writing a review. This book was phenomenal, there is no other word I can use to describe it. I am in no way the type of person to sit and read for hours on end, but I couldn’t pull myself away from this novel. The entire novel, beginning to end in one sitting. I experienced a slew of emotions and was left wondering if I was happy or sad to have finished the book so soon, It was as if I was saying goodbye to close friends once I turned the final page. I absolutely recommend this to anyone and I have no doubt in my mind that I will be revisiting this book many times.

Oh My God This Book. One the best books I have read in a long time. I can’t praise it enough. Coming from the Atlanta suburbs this book describes my life. I feel like I could go to school tomorrow and meet these characters and if I wasn’t already out, reading this book would definitely inspire me to “open the closet door.”

10/10 Recommend. No lie, one of the the best books I’ve ever read. I’m so in love with Simon and Blue! (Blue: just so I won’t spoil it for you, hehe)

“Simon” is simply terrific! 👌🏻. This is a great coming of age story, one of the few I wish had been around when I was in high school. This book should be taught in high school English for its themes of acceptance, modern communication and love. The only downside is I wish it were longer and delved deeper into Simon’s world after coming to terms with his central “conflict.”

Absolutely Splendid. “Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda” is an absolute delight to read. The problems faced in this masterpiece is so realistic it will give you chills! The difficulties that the main character, Simon Spier, are believable in ways I could never imagine. Will (and do) recommend to others.

Such an important book. You may not feel too strongly one way or the other, until your daughter or son has the courage to tell you that they are gay/lesbian. Then what do you do? You wrap your arms around them and support anything that makes their life easier. And this incredible book helps make that happen because it shows the world how normal and wonderful your child is. Read the book first, then watch the movie. Best adaptation from a book to film that I’ve ever seen.

Albertalli nails it.. I found this novel creative, socially relevant, & impossible not to read in one sitting. I was most impressed with author's amount of insight into what it's like to navigate being a gay teenage boy. It brought back many memories for me of my own high school experience, esp. the obstacles that come with being closeted, and the intense emotional ups-and-downs of first love. This story's message is SO IMPORTANT. Regardless of the reader's sexual orientation, this book wills the power to both remind anyone exactly what being 17 was like, and give hope to anyone who is and might be struggling like Simon Spier.

This book made me feel proud to be here and queer, I wish there were more books like this one where more teenagers my age can relate to it in a positive and funny way. Wow. I honestly thought this was going to be one of those cliché LGBTQ+ stories, but it actually did a decent job representing the LGBTQ+ community. I may have read the book 3 times in a row... In a week, all jokes aside, this was just a really good book & I know some homophobic people will probably burn me & my copy of the book if I say: I don’t mind homosexual themes, I don’t understand why people are so arrogant. The Particularity is Astonishing.... As a gay youngin’ I red this book religiously and fell in love with all the characters and understood them all. Simon’s outlook is the same as mine when observing people and his nosiness is particular to mine. Astounding. Everything in this review is coming out as word vomit (the greatest quote) but I just want it to be clear that i have never enjoyed and understood a book more in my life. I’m so glad I let my walls down like Simon and Bram!

High school experience. This book was written amazingly and in clever but realistic way that high school students can easily comprehend and relate to. This was honestly one of the best books I have ever read and I don’t believe it will ever be topped.

Movie first, book second. Not sure what I was expecting because I saw “Love, Simon” before reading the book. They are two completely different stories, yet tell the same story. This book had me completely engaged right from the beginning and moved at a fast pace that kept me constantly wanting to know what was coming next. Expertly written, and a story we sorely need for this generation.

Every gay teen ever. This book is so relatable and very well written. I found strange relationship between Simon and Martin quite intriguing and I wish I could see how the two feel in the future. I love the concept that Simon has a friend who he can talk to about anything at all without the friend knowing exactly who he is so that friend cannot openly judge him. This gives him someone to vent to. I think everyone should have a Blue. Wouldn't that make things so much easier? This book was a great read! ~Love, Flags

Absolutely ✨ IMMACULATE ✨. I’m gonna be completely honest, I watched the movie first; however with that being said — it’s a good watch, but in my opinion, it’s not as good as the book. As a gay teen myself, I definitely felt an emotional connection to the characters and don’t think I’ve really ever enjoyed a book as much as I did this one. I literally couldn’t put it down and ended up finishing it in two days. Definitely something you should look into, I promise you won’t be disappointed. I know I wasn’t.
