I was happy, crying, then needed a hockey ice stick to cause some damage (well no more needs to be said; My Secret ;) Well-written compelling plot. Bennett knows how to write a humorous sex scene and have a reader laughing. Love the many deference of morals entwined into the plot. Thank you for the 101 on hockey. I'm speechless! Hot & Sweet Hockey Romance!. Loved Ryker! What a sweet, hot alpha male. This was a fast paced super steamy read and I really liked it a lot. It was told from both points of views which I Loved. Ryker and Gray have so much chemistry and I think they're great together, the pull they have on one another has that need that makes it even more passionate. Ryker is so into her and I enjoyed him opening up and being so honest and sweet. He was charming, sexy and so persistent. I loved his attitude and the power he exuded but also his gentleness and love for his daughters, and Gray. Ryker "The Brick" is in the final year of his contract and is playing the best hockey of his career with The Carolina Cold Fury. He is insanely gorgeous with a Thor like body and has even graced the cover of GQ. But he has only been with the Cold Fury for a year since he was let go by the Boston Eagles after he punched his wife's new boy toy. So he is in the process of finalizing his divorce from Hensley who cheated on him with a fellow teammate, Patric Sutter and then dumped their two young daughters Violet and Ruby on Ryker so she could follow the team to be by her new boy toy's side. Struggling at first Ryker is finally getting all of his daddy duties down. I loved the alpha maleness from him, but also how he could be so loving and protective. It was so nice to get to see the softer side of him. Grayson Brannon is the daughter and heir to the Brannon fortune and is the first female general manager of a pro-hockey team. Her father is the CEO and President of the Carolina Cod Fury. But Gray has a lot going for her besides for that, a genius IQ, and a gold and silver Olympic medals as goalie of the U.S. Women's Ice Hockey team and a life long life of hockey. She is also a beautiful, sexy woman with a smokin hot body and the face of an angel. She recruited Ryker when she was the top scout for the team and is finding herself pulled in by his eyes, hot body and charming nature. But she is his boss and any relationship with a player would be frowned upon by the League and Gray has always done what is right. So what will happen if she doesn't do the right thing? Will their chemistry be worth the price she might have to pay? You will have to read this to find out. Loved it! Highly recommended!!! RYKER. Ryker , Zack and Alex’s Stories make reading this series warm and worthy. I was in no way enamored of Van. Van was interesting, the vacuous, spoiled heroine was disgusting. Thank you for veering back to worthy decent characters.

Worth the wait!!. Absolutely loved it! Great follow up in the series. Series is well written with great storylines but I recommend you start with the first book of the series.

Love it!. Can I just say the Cold Fury books make me want to be a hockey fan? I loved Ryker. This was a great read. It had all the elements I look for in a book. It was hot and steamy, it had awesome romance and it was so well written. The Cold Fury books have made me a fan of this author for life! #IWantTheGoalie. This isn’t your typical sports romance novel. Yes, it does have a sexy sports figure with a hot craving for a very self-assured woman. There is where the similarities for the romance stop. Ryker is definitely a hunky, alpha hockey player who wants a relationship. Yep, a relationship. He’s not the typical lead male character who is going to sow his wild ‘player’ ways with the right woman. Nope, he actually wants a personal connection and isn’t the one-night stand typical book boyfriend. Our heroine, Gray, is one of the strongest female leads I have read in a long time. She knows what she wants; however due to her drive, she’s given the idea of a long-term relationship a back seat. Ms. Bennett takes the reader through their relationship ups and downs throwing in obstacles along the way. Some of those complications have you pause. Will they have a HEA together in the end or separate knowing the short term was good but not the best for them? I know I did and you will need to read to find out which path they follow. Ryker is everything you want in your romantic Hero: he is a loving father, loyal to his friends and teammates, protective of others – just the ideal man. Yet, it’s Gray whom I felt the most connection to throughout the book. As a professional woman myself, you have the drive to reach the top of your career ladder. You balance personal life to make sure you do not damage your professional goals. For anyone who has been in Gray’s place you can relate to this character. You are constantly on vigil about how others perceive you all the while trying to make a difference in your chosen vocation. And no kidding, it’s real, the personal relationships suffer those choices. As a reader through this story you get to experience all the trips and slips as they navigate. In the end, who is the most deserving person in the relationship to have all their professional aspirations reached? Pick this book up to find out. By far, the favorite part of the book for me was the epilogue. I read it four times before I wrote this review. Best ending for Gray. If you haven’t gathered so far, I definitely recommend you read and devour this novel. It has everything you are looking for in a contemporary romance, strong characters and steam-up-the-glasses scenes. Although part of a series, this novel can stand-alone for an initial read. Heart of a champion. This is the 4th book in the Cold Fury Hockey series. It can be read as a standalone novel, but for full understanding I encourage readers to read the series in order. Ryker Evans first meets Gray Brannon when she recruits him to the Carolina Cold Fury team. Now she is to be his General Manager and taking a lot of opposition for being a woman in a man's field. Ryker could care less. Gray has so much on her plate right now. She cannot afford to be attracted to Ryker and have thoughts of him distract her. She invites him to yoga just to spend more time with him. Ryker is goalie on the team. Yoga is good exercise for his position. He is also attracted to Gray. If only he could stop thinking about her. Nothing seems to distract him. Now his soon to be ex-wife wants another chance? Gray is a good General Manager. She is really a genius. Her new plan is to get her team to the championships and a Stanley Cup win. No one thinks they way she is going about it is right, except Ryker and her father. Ryker just wants to be a good father to his kids, and have Gray in his life. Can something so simple come together? How can they have a future if they have to keep their relationship a secret? Such an amazing and well thought out story. The author is known for complex characters, but this book took it to another level for me. I think it is her best book to date. Perfection!!!. Oh, what a beautiful man! He's gorgeous and after a crash course from Kate, he's great with his daughters. He's attentive and loves being in a relationship. Perfect! Of course he would want the one woman he can have. All of the books in the Cold Fury Hockey series are fabulous but "Ryker" is a masterpiece as a man and as a book. He's a good person. I love how he always thinks of Gray or his children first. He doesn't make rash decisions and has his life in order. When he loves, he loves with all that he is and is willing to make sacrifices for that love that no ordinary man would choose to make. I highly recommend this book and this series. The BRICK WALL .... Does it again! SCORE!!!!. Absolutely loved this new book in the series. Gray and Ryker find that falling in love was the easy part for them. The staying together under very difficult circumstances ( she's the GM for the hockey team he's on) is the hard part. They both realize that they r willing to sacrifice everything they thought they wanted in life for their love. A must read.
